Mes cours de piano et de violoncelle s’adressent à tous les âges et tous les niveaux. Comme l’on me pose encore trop souvent la question : il n’est jamais trop tard pour apprendre !
Le solfège vous rebute ? Vous avez été traumatisé étant plus jeune ? Pas de panique ! Je conçois tout à fait que vous puissiez ressentir quelque animosité envers cette « discipline ». Si vous voulez progresser et devenir autonome devant une partition de musique classique, il est indispensable de savoir lire les notes et le rythme. C’est tout à fait comme le texte que vous lisez en ce moment, vous avez bien dû un jour apprendre à d-é-ch-i-ff-r-er ce langage écrit. Je m’efforce de rendre cette approche amusante et... Addictive (si,si !) ! Il faut reconnaitre que cela demande un peu d’entrainement et de pratique mais vous ne le regretterez pas !
Avec les enfants débutants, je commence par jouer et montrer sur un tapis de notes géantes cousu maison pour qu’ils visualisent bien les différences entre hauteurs et latéralisations. Nous chantons et mélangeons les notes pour créer des mélodies.

Une fois bien familiarisé avec ces petites boules noires, nous nous installons devant l’instrument confiants et joyeux pour démarrer la grande aventure !

Hello to everyone!
My name is María, I am a Venezuelan Cellist.
All my musical education was inside the musical program "El Sistema" in Venezuela. This education was based on preparing myself as a better human being though playing cello in orchestras, chamber music and as soloist.
I am current studying my Master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
In what consist my lessons?
Cello classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), it does not matter if you have never played cello before or if you are already studying, the important thing is to help you achieve the goals you want with this beautiful instrument.
To have better results with practice, if it is necessary to help you with music theory, I will help you.
As well, if you're looking for help in orchestral excerpts for auditions, I'm here for you!
For kids, parental support is also important during some lesson, we are all a team and we need to work together to achieve the goals!
Classes can be in person at your house or mine (BRUSSELS, BELGIUM) or via videocall (Skype, Zoom, etc). The schedules are planned according to the time of the student and the teacher.

Hi! I’m Lucia, classical cellist from Madrid. I studied with international te known teachers as N. Shakhovskaya and D. Geringas, and I was working in Spain with the Spanish Radio TV orchestra, Spanish National Orchestra, OSPA, and contemporary music ensemble Plural Ensemble. Also I have teaching experience since 12 years, having worked privately and in Centro Superior Katarina Gurska.
I also play piano, I studied it since I was 3-4 years old because my father is a pianist and he was teaching me.
I’m moving to Brussels and looking forward to start teaching here. Nice to meet you!

Lessons in piano, harpsichord, and historical and modern cello, with program and repertoire, adapted to the goals and speed of each student, whether young, not so young, or adult, for a general introduction to these instruments, for preparation for high music education, as a supplementary aid for exams in music academies, or for a hobby, or for amateur group music-making, or for developing qualities as concentration, coordination, discipline, expressibility, awareness of styles and music history.
In my teaching, I rely mostly on old traditional methods, books, and repertoire, which have proved their efficiency over the time. I also make use of the teaching tradition of partimenti of the old Neapolitan conservatories - exercises for composing that can be applied from early stage. This not only adds a creative element soon after very beginning, but also teaches via practice the basics of harmony and polyphony.
Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege (ear training), if the student wishes.
English, Nederlands, française, Deutsch.
I have been teaching for more than 15 years, privately, in Brussels, and in New York in the past, more than 100 students.
I am a graduate of Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, in baroque cello and harpsichord, but I play also modern cello organ, and piano.

My name is Marie, I am 28 years old and I graduated from a Masters in cello at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. The cello is my passion, my profession, my life companion. I have been teaching for several years. I have at heart to transmit my interest for this instrument; this is why I continue to train within the conservatory.

I spent a year in Denmark for a master's degree in education. An exciting year in a country where empathy is given a major role in teaching and where learning is based on the latest discoveries in neuroscience. I would like to evolve as a teacher by feeding on the pedagogies of the Nordic countries.

Beginners, intermediates, advanced, I adapt to the age and needs of each. Playing a musical instrument requires a lot of concentration and involvement. I want to bring this taste for rigor, which is not opposed to fun or creativity, while respecting the rhythm of each student.

I see the "classroom" as a laboratory: a place where we test, where we make mistakes, where we question ourselves ... because I think that it is the curiosity specific to each one that is the best progression tool.
I offer private cello lessons at my home or at the students' homes. The price of the course is adjustable according to the trip.

Graduated in cello in Barcelona, finishing my master in historical cello at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Passionate cellist with a lot of experience in performance and education. I specialize in historically informed music, so I try to understand the context around each music I play, so we enter into a dialogue between current events and the era in which the music was created. In my classes we will learn the basic technique of the cello but also we will look together for what we want to express with the music we make, and techniques more adapted to the era.

Je m'appelle Marie et je suis étudiante en Master au Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles dans la classe de Marie Hallynck et Francis Mourey.

Depuis que j'ai décidé de m'engager professionnellement dans la musique, l'enseignement m'a toujours beaucoup attirée. J'ai la chance d'avoir plusieurs élèves, à la fois en violoncelle et en solfège, enfants comme adultes. La transmission de la musique par l'apprentissage est quelque chose qui me passionne et me tient à cœur.

Je souhaite que les cours de violoncelle soient un plaisir pour l'élève, qu'il y joue des œuvres qu'il aime et y découvre de nouveaux horizons ! Mon but est qu'il soit à l'aise avec son instrument. J'adapterai mon enseignement à son niveau, ses objectifs et ses envies.

Je peux aussi donner des cours de soutien à des personnes étudiant dans une académie. Par ailleurs, j'enseigne le solfège.
