I offer double bass lessons for all ages and levels. A teaching adapted to each one, to advance on its own voice, laying down and / or reinforcing solid technical and musical bases. I have several years of experience in private education as well as in conservatory. Courses in English or French. I am very available!

I am a professional contrabassist graduated with distinction from the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU) and holding a bachelor degree from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory in National University of Singapore under full scholarship. I have had a lot of experience teaching privately in Switzerland, Singapore, and South Korea. I can help my students find good musical content and adapt the lessons to each student's needs and wishes. Plus, you can practice your English and Korean at the same time!

My name is Lawrence. I'm currently offering limited teaching slots to new online and face-to-face students from my studio in Hackney Wick and home studio in Leyton. As a tutor, I aim to build a solid technique and theoretical understanding relevant to students’ interests. This allows the student a foundation of tools to further their creative and technical studies and harness their own sound and voice through music. I am a double bass player based in the city of Leuven. I recently obtained my third master in music in double bass at the LUCA School of Arts – Campus Lemmens. I am currently working as a double bass tutti in the Brussels Philharmonic and i am the bass player of the ensembleDRE. As a double bass player i have played in different amateurs and young Orchestras like NJO, the junge-deutsch franzosische philarmonie and Futurorchestra, and with professional Orchestras like Casco Phil and Ataneres Ensemble. As a teacher i have taught pop music and electric bass in Italy. Through my experiences , concerning different kinds of music, i would like to approach the double bass and/or electric bass to people of any age. He also studied with Frans van der Hoeven, Ernst Glerum, Marco Siniscalco, Andrea Pighi, Jarmo Hoogendijk, Eric Ineke, Roelof Meijer. Since 2015 he is a member of the staff o the Fara Music Festival.
