More and more people want to work with animals, which is not surprising. It is a challenging and very fun job. There are also more and more possibilities to take such directions, but unfortunately animal care studies remain very basic. It is not possible to bring everything forward during a limited number of contact hours. And that while there is so much to learn within the world of zoology, or zoology.

This course is designed for people who want to know more during or after a study, or students who want to prepare well for a challenging study in biology. For those who have become curious why animals have scientific names, or why birds are actually reptiles.
Prior knowledge is not required, we start at the beginning!

These Molecular Biology courses are aimed at bachelor's and master's levels and combine theoretical foundations with practical applications essential in modern life sciences. During the courses, we cover topics including:
The basic principles of molecular biology (DNA, RNA, genes, proteins, central dogma),
Differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems,
DNA and RNA extraction methods (organic, inorganic, membrane-based),
Gel electrophoresis for analysis of DNA and RNA,
PCR and qPCR: principle, reagents, primer design, interpretation of results,
Applications in biotechnology, food safety, microbiology and gene expression

The lessons are structured and adapted to the student's level and goals. I explain complex concepts step by step and focus on comprehension, experimental thinking, and data interpretation, not just memorization. This type of support is ideal for:
University students who need extra support,
Exam preparation,
Thesis and research supervision,
Students who take courses in English and want to strengthen their content

Lessons can be given in English (and if necessary Dutch), online or by appointment.
