I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English.

I teach both adults and children. Creating a comfortable learning environment for my students is one of my top priorities. If you would like to learn Turkish or English in a consistent and structured way, I would be happy to work with you.

Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid understanding of grammar, as Turkish has a very different structure.

I use the course book set prepared by Istanbul University. It follows a strategic approach to learning Turkish and includes all language skills—reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking—from A1 to C2. All of these skills are essential for conversation.

I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels.

The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons.

I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature.

I will explain, using the exercises I designed while teaching debating internationally, what makes a strong argument, introducing you to the world of logics. I will also use my experience participating in and coaching teams for debating competitions such as the prestigious international Herbert Smith Freehills Competition Law Moot to teach you to think like a debater and to captivate the attention of judges and other listeners with impeccable advocate-like presentation manner, outperforming the opposition both on content and on style.

My name is Chiara and I'm a qualified italian teacher for foreigners with a DITALS certification taken by the school "Leonardo da Vinci" in Florence. After having passed my exam, I have done an internship in the same school and then I have worked here for a while. During this experience, I had the possibility to work with people from all around the world offering them classes that matched their desires: from A1 to B2. Therefore, more than once I have helped my students to pass the CILS exam, in order to reach the italian citizenship.
