Mathematics & Physics/Mathematiques & Physique (gymnase, high school or lower and university level)

This course is intended for people who want tutoring or special help in order to prepare for the matriculation exams, or even those at university. I teach all school math subjects, as well as college-level analysis and algebra. If you need support in your lessons or your school exams I would be happy to prepare you and allow you to improve quickly. I can also allow you to get ahead of your program and learn mathematical concepts at university level (up to the second year of engineering school). My experience with university and college students allows me to easily adapt my pedagogy to all levels in order to get the best out of it. Classes take place mainly at my home or on the EPFL campus, I can also travel by public transport to your home.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from EPFL, and I am currently a 2nd year student of a Master's degree in Communication Systems at EPFL. I am available to assist you in your revisions, whether by helping you understand certain concepts, solving exercises or anything else that could help you. With an average higher than 5/6 in the Bachelor, my skills in mathematics and computer science (whether theoretical or programming) are solid to help students ranging from primary school to the beginning of the Bachelor. Having been an assistant in EPFL courses on several occasions, I particularly enjoy helping my students understand concepts with which they have difficulty, by giving them a new vision. I obviously remain very flexible, the most important thing being to adapt as best as possible to everyone's needs.

In the first year of a master's degree in physics at EPFL, I offer private lessons in mathematics and physics to secondary, gymnasium/high school/college or university students. The course adapts to each person and can focus on understanding a course, helping with homework or assimilating solution methods. Having experience in support courses and helping with exercises, I enjoy explaining and take the time necessary to ensure understanding of the material. The lessons can take place in person or via Zoom for which I have a tablet that I can share on the screen to be able to complete the explanations. Currently a doctoral student in chemistry at and also graduated from a master's degree in Chemistry at EPFL with a specialization in educational teaching. Master's student in physics having obtained the baccalaureate with very good honors (19.8/20 general average) I happily help in learning mathematics and sciences in general which made me want to study at the EPFL and to come to KTH afterwards. My name is Zaaphiel and I am a student at the University of Lausanne in Letters (Bachelor in modern French and English). I have already given support lessons while in high school, I am patient and I like to give tips & tricks, help with the writing of cheat sheets and/or revision, then quite simply help young people to understand a subject or course in case of difficulties. I am excellent in French and I love the language as much as I love teaching it; I haven't stopped learning English since I was 12, and I also really appreciate this language just as I like to help others learn it. I can give support lessons in English up to high school / gymnasium level, in math until the end of college / high school. I can help at all levels for people with difficulties in French or who need support in the subject, but I would like to avoid people over 25 years old.

I am a first year student at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL) in the physics section. I had my baccalaureate with honors with 20/20 in mathematics and 18/20 in physics. I therefore master the middle and high school curriculum: in mathematics on all chapters and in physics, particularly the kinematics/dynamics chapters. I am able to take over the course to explain everything that is not clear and say what is important to focus on, give revision advice, correct exercises, work on exercises with the student in an educational manner to that he then approaches similar exercises more easily.

I quickly noticed that the problem often comes from understanding the exercises given rather than the course itself, so here's how I like to proceed: I always start by first making sure that the principle of the course is understood by focusing on the points that block, and then we can start looking at the exercises, given by the teacher, that pose a problem. The goal is that at the end of the rehearsal course, the student has in his hands cards with the different methods used to solve all the possible types of exercises, especially those requested in the exam. I myself take care of preparing these sheets during the rehearsal course in order to summarize all the methods acquired.
