Hello! Je suis actuellement étudiant à EPFL dans la section des Mathématiques en première année de bachelor. J’ai réussi mon premier semestre avec un 5.1 de moyen. Et je veux vous enseigner de maths/physics!

Ma méthode d’enseignement se résume à poser des questions aux élèves et à les inciter eux, à trouver les réponses. Une fois qu’ils arrivent au bon raisonnement, je leur explique le principe mathématique plus en détail, de manière structurée ainsi qu’en approfondissant certains aspects importants. Mon but est par tout les moyens d’éviter un apprentissage passif dans lequel l’élève apprend par cœur sans retenir les points majeurs. Je suis certain qu’une fois qu’un problème a été résolu par soi-même, nous apprenons mieux ce qui signifie que nous pourrons y arriver dans le futur également. En outre, je prépare avant chaque cours des notes (une sorte de résumé) que je vais donner à l’élève et que je compléterai pendant le cours.

Mon cours est planifié pour une durée de 90 minutes. (Je trouve, par mon expérience, que 60 minutes ne sont pas suffisantes à la compréhension de la matière et que 120 minutes sont éprouvantes pour l’élève, qui perd de l’attention vers la fin). Cependant comme je prépare mes notes avant, pour pouvoir donner un cours bien structuré et pour répondre à n’importe quelle question,

As a student myself, I always share the same experiences and stressful phases as my students (difficult lessons to understand, exams, assignments, etc.), and I find this to be a major asset in one-on-one tutoring. It's a close connection that most qualified teachers overlook, which prevents them from understanding the student's difficulties.

I am currently in my second year at EPFL and passed my first year on my first attempt. In addition to good results at the pre-university level, I continue to excel in my studies (5.25/6 average) and am developing rigor, composure under stress, excellent organizational skills, and above all, a demanding work ethic.
