I want to teach this discipline to make it a passionate discipline. I am a student in a double music-studies course. I started music when I was 5 and participated in international competitions. I had the honor of participating in important regional concerts in France and Tunisia. Having obtained 2 diplomas recognized by the Royal Schools of Music, I want to pursue my passion which is to teach ambitious young people and to make them as passionate as me.

As a Master’s student in medical biology, I have been playing piano and guitar for 18 years. I can explain to you the musical theory that allows you to understand a piece on which you want to improvise or to understand the idea behind the composition of a piece. I can find you the chords of any song or piece and I have examples of songs whose chords search is particularly interesting. I can teach you classical music and jazz. The 5 string banjo is an amazing instrument. It's driving trademark sound and it's African roots has contributed to many music traditions, including Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz and world music. In my class you'll first learn the basics, how to hold and pick and read tablatures. We'll then go through how to play a tune, accompany other instruments and finally, improvise. During the year I'll teach you basic music theory like rhythm, harmony and a bit of ear training to help you develop your understanding and relationship to the instrument. We'll mainly play Bluegrass Scruggs style at first, then we'll dive into melodic style and sigle string, that will all be useful for playing other kinds of music, like Irish music, Pop, Jazz or Blues.
