As an alumna of the European School of Brussels III and a recent First-Class Honours graduate from The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) with a Master’s in Engineering and Architecture, I offer tutoring support to students of all levels. I’m especially familiar with the European School curriculum, GCSEs, and the International Baccalaureate, and I teach Maths and Physics at any level. I currently tutor several students and have experience tailoring lessons to individual needs. I teach in English, Spanish, Italian, and German, and I can be contacted in those languages as well as French. Here’s how my lessons work: Once a student reaches out, we schedule a day and time. They send me the topics they’d like to cover, along with any class notes, past exams, or homework. I review the material in advance and prepare tailored exercises so we can make the most of our time together. During the session, we work through everything collaboratively, and I often assign additional exercises or homework to reinforce learning. I take notes live during the lesson on my iPad, and afterwards, I share a complete PDF with everything we covered. If there’s something we didn’t get to, I make sure to finish it and send it over as soon as possible. There’s truly no better feeling than seeing a student gain confidence and succeed in a subject they once found difficult.

As a final year student in Uccle / Ixelles / Etterbeek, I teach mathematics from primary to secondary school. My method is based on a thorough understanding of the subject, I make sure that the student understands the subject in depth. In order to achieve this goal, I try to explain the same concept in many different ways. The lesson is in two parts: a part where I explain the subject by doing the exercises myself followed by a part where the student is led to do the exercises himself to test his understanding. Serious, attentive and dynamic, I have been accompanying and supporting several dozen secondary and higher education students for more than 8 years in their academic success and in passing the Polytech and Medicine entrance exams. . My goal is to make my students independent in their study and to provide them with a methodology that will be useful to them throughout their schooling. Typically a course is done in two stages: 1) A first passage on the theory in order to identify the students' difficulties and the material to study for future exercises. Then deconstruct the concepts that pose problems into several concepts that are accessible to the student. Once I have explained a concept, I do not hesitate to ask the student to explain again in their own words what they have understood, in order to make the learning active. 2) We move on to the exercises to do, typically I let the student think about the exercise for 2-3 minutes before helping them solve it. Again, as we move from one stage to the next, I always ask the question "why?" so that the student can explain to me what he understood. So I check that he or she has understood the concepts used to move forward and learning then happens naturally.
