Hi All,

I am an experienced tutor and a chemical engineer by background. I teach English as a second language for children, teenagers and adults. I can also teach Maths and Science for middle and high school. I hold a Masters Degree, am accredited engineer and a published author. I would like to be a part of your learning journey and tailor the education to your needs.

Heb je hulp nodig bij het onder de knie krijgen van wiskunde of frans? Samen zoeken we naar een manier die bij jou past om je de stof eigen te maken. Of het nu om meetkunde of algebra gaat. Of om teksten snappen of grammatica. Zodat je met meer plezier aan de slag gaat.

I am drs in the Dutch language, specialization in Language Control. At every level I can offer help with regard to the Dutch language.
In addition, in 2020 I followed the one-year Coach Practioner training at De Baak.

The training can be in the areas of speaking skills, spelling, grammar and writing. During intensive supervision, skills are quickly increased.

heb je moeite met het doen van analyses in SPSS? Dan kan ik je helpen. Ik heb op de universiteit lesgegeven in alle bachelorjaren van de studies psychologie en pedagogiek in statistiek. Ik kan je helpen met het zoeken naar de juiste analyse, lezen van tabellen en schrijven van verslagen.

Deze les is voor studenten in het HBO of op de universiteit die moeite hebben met statistiek en statistische analyses. Mijn streven is om jou aan het eind van de lessen voldoende handvaten te geven, zodat jij zelf verder kan.

Mathematics allows you to create a variety of career options because math is used in many professions. For example, it offers solutions to difficult issues such as those that arise in the financial world, or for example to climate change, DNA issues and technological developments that require a lot of calculations. Mathematics is not only a way of reasoning, it is also a tool to arrive at an accurate solution. This way you will be able to see connections more quickly and develop an analytical capacity. With mathematics you train your brain to calculate faster, but also to make well-founded decisions.

Lesson 1. Fractions
Lesson 2. Exponents
Lesson 3. Drawing carrot
Lesson 4. Getting rid of brackets
Lesson 5. Dissolving into Factors
Lesson 6. Percentages

Choose one of the above lessons that you follow, a lesson lasts about one hour. Of course, a combination is also possible. We agree in advance how much time you want to spend.

Learning by working together. Together we look at how we can make the lesson as fun as possible.
We are going to create real situations, do role plays to make every day life English real.
Relevant exercises in which you as a student do a lot yourself, talk, do exercises and are allowed to make a lot of mistakes so that you can learn as much as possible. Making mistakes is not bad at all. It is the way to learn.
I am patient, open, result oriented and it is my passion to help you develop a better understanding and good use of the English language. So that more doors can open for you, now or in the future.

Ik ben Sofia en geef al heel veel jaren met plezier bijles en huiswerkbegeleiding aan leerlingen van verschillende middelbare niveaus (ook online!). Heeft u(w kind) structurele hulp nodig, hulp met de proefwerkweek, zijn er examens niet gehaald of moet er in de zomervakantie wat worden bijgespijkerd? Wellicht kan ik helpen! Stuur me vrijblijvend een bericht en vertel me om welke vakken het zal gaan+niveau. Dan kunnen we afstemmen wat er nodig is en/of waar ik kan helpen.

Over mezelf: Naast mijn huidige werk geef ik bijles, omdat ik merk dat ik er veel leerlingen mee help en dit mij plezier geeft. Zelf heb ik altijd gestudeerd (nog steeds vind ik het leuk om studies naast mijn werk te doen) en 8 jaar terug alweer heb ik een Master behaald aan de Universiteit van Leiden. Ik geef al 10+ jaar bijles en huiswerkbegeleiding (ook examentraining).

Ik help leerlingen met onderwerpen die ze niet goed begrijpen, maak sommen met hen en bereid hen voor op toetsen en examens. Probeer ook over te brengen dat wiskunde een prachtig en nuttig vak is. In bijna alles van het dagelijks leven komt wiskunde op de één of andere wijze voor. Denk aan de cconstructie van gebouwen, het runnen van een organisatie, het doorgronden van de klimaatcrisis etc.
