Art has remained an important part of all cultures throughout history. Art can seem intimidating, but with a little help and some confidence, anyone can create! In this course you will be introduced to several different 2D art forms, you will learn different drawing and painting techniques to give your art depth. You will be introduced to different art movements and artist who impacted these art styles. We will be making different styles of art such as self portraits, abstract art, still life, collage and more! Most importantly you will learn how to express your creative side and have fun while learning!

Everyone learns differently. That's why I teach the way you want. You decide what you want to learn and how, including when your lesson takes place and how long it lasts. I teach art history to anyone who wants to, regardless of age or level, online or at my home in Velp. You can learn about, among other things, the visual arts, music and literature from prehistory to the present. You can work towards an exam/test/training or just learn out of interest. Whether it concerns Michelangelo's David or the graffiti on the walls of Dubai, I'll be happy to tell you about it. Anything is possible. I’m a drawing teacher and artist living in Paris. Since 6 years, I provide drawing class to many publics, from school to urban sketching sessions. Since two years, I also give online drawing class for all public. I have an IPad, so I can share my screen to guide my student by drawing directly on it and show them some drawing technics as if we were on the same spot. Learning drawing is half about learning basics technics, like perspective, contrasts and human form, and half about trusting your own vision, by observation work or imagination exercices. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. My goal is to help each person develop their own expressive abilities, offering them the tools they need to grow confidently. Each lesson is tailored to the student and shaped by the connection we build together. We can focus on the fundamentals — like anatomy, shading, and perspective — or take a more expressive, storytelling-driven approach through comics and illustration. My lessons are open to people of all ages and learning styles, including those with special needs. Learning to draw means learning to understand yourself and the world around you. My teaching method is deeply student-centred. I believe that each person who chooses to draw is moved by a unique intention, whether it's mastering technical skills or exploring their own world through visual storytelling. That's why I tailor every lesson to support the individual goals of each student. For those who are more interested in improving their technical abilities, i provide structured, didactic materials. These include selected resources from established drawing manuals, as well as my own handouts and exercises focused on essential techniques such as anatomy, perspective, shading, the use of different tools and materials and much more. My aim is to make complex topics accessible and rewarding to learn. For students who are more interested in self-expression and storytelling, we work with creative expression exercises. These activities are more emotional and intuitive, designed to help students put themselves into their art, exploring their own identity, style and imagination. In all cases, I foster a safe and inspiring space where students can grow at their own rhytm, not following a one-size path.

In this class, students will explore foundational techniques the essentials of line, form, shading, and texture. Throughout the course, you'll experiment with different mediums—pencil, charcoal, ink—and gain hands-on experience with a variety of subjects, from still lifes to landscapes and portraits.

Basic fundamentals of drawing all starts with shapes and shadows. Breaking down images into shapes and basic gestures will aid in the final product looking clean. You will learn how to break down images (ie; people, animals, buildings, etc) into basic shapes, and managable chunks.

In my work, I use both traditional techniques (watercolor, painting, pencils, engraving) and digital techniques to create illustrations and animations! With my 13 years of experience in the field, and 7 years of teaching experience, I can offer you a program based on your specific objectives. For example: - Start or improve in observational drawing, life model, sketching, painting... to have better knowledge in academic drawing, or create your own illustrations. - Create a portfolio/book to apply to art and animation film schools.

You will always need a blank piece of paper and a pencil for class. Some people say that you need fancy materials to make art but that is far from the truth. Using what you have at home is perfect! We will be taking notes each class on techniques and we will also be doing sketches every class. On the first day of class we will start by setting goals for something we want to learn more about in art. I will work with you to gradually get to that place you want. Art is something that you learn just like everything else, putting in the work is part of learning and is needed in the subject of art as well!

This course will teach students to create art digitally, from sketching to fully rendered illustrations/paintings. General topics include drawing from reference, composition, perspective, color theory, rendering techniques, lighting, and more. The specific content for each class can be tailored to students based on what they want to learn, and students will have the freedom to choose the subjects of their artwork.

Figure drawing can be the basis of all drawings you want to accomplish. The skills you grasp from practicing figure drawing can translate to other skills, because you are practicing finding and drawing details that might be overlooked. In this class, you will learn how to simply draw people. All the little details that make a person, a person. You will be taught how to draw facial features and details on the body proportionally through practicing on models online and live, doing different poses. I will guide you to see and prioritize details that can truly encapsulate the essence of a human through a small lecture. However, most of your learning will be through active practice. With different lessons, we will be focusing on different concepts, but I will give you feedback regardless, through active practice. Figure drawing isn't easy, but it gets easier over time when you know what details to look for.
