Hello,

I am Patri, a recently graduated student in Translation and Mediation from the University of Valencia who has just moved to Ghent in order to start her traineeship as a teacher at the University of Ghent. I offer Spanish classes to anyone that may want to learn this beautiful language or brush it up a little bit. Welcome to my online site for learning Spanish as a foreign language.

My name is Jonathan, I am a teacher of modern languages as well as a translator and interpreter. I have 10 years of extensive experience in the field of education and translation. I am dedicated to teaching and teaching languages at all levels, applying my methods that take into account the specific needs of my students both professionally and academically.

Methodology:
Course proposal:
-diagnostic interview and initial level test (theoretical-oral)
Time distribution and definition of teaching methodology:

I teach (basic) Dutch to (young) adults who speak other languages. The purpose of the lesson is to be able to have easy and simple conversations in daily life. In addition, there is also practice on language comprehension and written language production. We practice Dutch on the basis of role plays, audio clips and newspaper articles. Also people who already have some knowledge of Dutch are more than welcome to join. During the first lesson we will discuss your requirements so that I can adapt my lessons accordingly.

I studied and lived (mostly) in Italy until I was 20 years old, then I moved to Copenhagen to continue my education. I am an Italian native speaker, and I use English in my daily personal and working life.

Talking to someone is the best way you can practice new languages. When I was a teenager I moved to Canada for six months to learn English, and even if I struggled at the beginning, pushing myself to have crooked conversation with friends was the perfect way to start mastering the language.

Here is how you will learn if you choose to take this Course:
During each session:

STEP 1: I ask you "appropriate" questions to what's most important to you in your life.

STEP 2: You reply as good as you can.

I have an approach where the goal is to pass the test/ exam or another goal. We always look at what the student needs first, that way I know the best way to help. This way we make the best use of the time.

We first discuss what the problem might be. Is the subject matter unclear, are you missing the basic knowledge needed to continue learning, do you not have enough exercises or do you not know how to go about it all? Depending on that, I determine the strategy needed to achieve results in the long run.

I am someone who is patient and understanding. The most important thing for me is that the student feels comfortable, only then we can make progress together. This way I take away the fear of making mistakes, and the student achieves a better command of the language.

Are you afraid that online tutoring is difficult for concentration? No worries, my job is to keep the student attentive and keep the tutoring fun and challenging at the same time.
