Van absolute beginners tot vloeiende conversatie in het Italiaans!
Een boeiende mix van taal, cultuur, keuken en actualiteit uit Italië – met een vleugje noodzakelijke grammatica!

Al meer dan 30 jaar geef ik met passie individuele en groepslessen aan mensen van alle niveaus. Ik ben Gianni, een geboren en getogen Florentijn die al geruime tijd in Delft woont. Florence, de bakermat van de Italiaanse taal, is ook de stad van Dante Alighieri, de grondlegger van het moderne Italiaans. Nee, we zijn geen familie 😉, maar net zoals Haarlem in Nederland bekend staat om zijn ABN-uitspraak, wordt het Italiaans uit Florence beschouwd als de standaardtaal. Dit authentieke Italiaans draag ik met trots over in mijn lessen.

Professionele ervaring
Momenteel ben ik docent Italiaans bij de Volksuniversiteit Delft, na eerder vier jaar les te hebben gegeven bij de Volksuniversiteit Rotterdam. Naast mijn werk als docent ben ik ook professioneel zanger van traditionele Italiaanse volksliederen. Deze passie integreer ik graag in mijn lessen, omdat muziek een krachtige tool is om een taal te leren. Bekende teksten en melodieën maken het leerproces niet alleen leuker, maar ook effectiever. Vaak begeleid ik mijn zang met gitaar, wat zorgt voor een authentieke Italiaanse sfeer.

Lesmethode
Voor beginners gebruik ik een toegankelijk leerboek dat stap voor stap de basis van het Italiaans uitlegt. Tijdens de lessen verbeter ik onmiddellijk fouten in zinnen of uitspraak, zodat je meer zelfvertrouwen krijgt in het spreken. Mijn aanpak is praktisch en interactief: elke fout biedt een kans om iets nieuws te leren, of het nu een woord, een grammaticale regel, een anekdote of een culturele context is.

Daarnaast besteden we aandacht aan de Toscaanse keuken en cultuur, zodat je niet alleen de taal leert, maar ook de rijke Italiaanse levensstijl ervaart. Voor gevorderde werk ik met meer geavanceerde teksten, actuele onderwerpen en conversaties, zodat je jouw taalvaardigheid blijft ontwikkelen.

Mi chiamo Gianni, sono nato e cresciuto a Firenze, culla della cultura e della cucina toscana, che amo profondamente. Da molti anni insegno conversazione in italiano a studenti di tutte le età, condividendo non solo la lingua, ma anche le tradizioni culinarie e culturali della mia terra.
Il mio metodo
Durante le lezioni, correggo subito frasi e parole errate, aiutandoti a migliorare la tua pronuncia e a parlare con più sicurezza. Per chi è all'inizio del percorso, utilizzo un libro dedicato agli assoluti principianti, integrando elementi pratici per rendere l'apprendimento naturale e coinvolgente.
Da ogni errore che fai scaturisce una spiegazione un numero di parole nuove e una storia o un aneddoto.

Un tocco musicale
Oltre a essere insegnante, sono anche cantante di musica popolare italiana. Credo che imparare una lingua attraverso le melodie e i testi delle canzoni tradizionali sia un modo efficace e piacevole per memorizzare nuove parole ed espressioni. Con me puoi anche cantare in italiano, accompagnati dalla mia chitarra!

Esperienza e passione
Ho insegnato per 3 anni alla Volksuniversiteit di Rotterdam e attualmente gia da 4 anni do lezione alla Volksuniversiteit di Delft. L’insegnamento per me non è solo un lavoro, ma una vera passione. Ogni lezione è pensata per essere un’esperienza arricchente e divertente, adattata alle esigenze di ogni studente.

Mijn naam is Gianni. ik geef al meer dan 25 jaar Italiaanse les, prive' en bij de volksuniversiteit Delft en vroeger in de jaren 90 bij de Voloksuniversiteit Rotterdam. Ik woon al vanaf de jaren 90 in Delft. Echter ben ik een Italiaan, geboren en getogen Florentijn.

Mijn stad, Florence, is de hoofdstad van regio Toscane. Florence is vergelijkbaar voor de taal met Haarlem in Nederland: In Haarlem spreekt men ABN, dus Algemeen Beschaafd Nederlands, terwijl men in Florence (ik ook dus) ABI ofwel Algemeen Beschaafd Italiaans spreekt.
Deze vergelijking is natuurlijk een beetje een grap van me, er is geen sprake van ABI in Italie, maar het is wel waar dat we in Toscane spreken met een accent dat het meeste lijkt op de Italiaanse taal hoe deze bedoeld is. Het is niet voor niets dat l’Accademia della Crusca in Florence gevestigd is.
Sinds de jaren negentig woon ik in de mooie stad Delft, in het hart van de Randstad. Ik heb meerdere jaren Italiaanse les gegeven bij de Rotterdamse Volksuniversiteit. Dit waren bijna altijd alleen conversatielessen.
Ik vind het leuk om voor de klas te staan en deel graag mijn kennis met anderen. Ik zie het lesgeven altijd als 'geven en nemen' : ik leer tijdens de lessen bijna altijd iets nieuws.
Meestal geef ik les aan volwassenen die graag Italiaans willen leren voor hun plezier. Ik verrijk met simpele oefeningen de woordenschat, zowel in het algemeen als desgewenst op specifiek gebied.
Ik belicht in mijn lesstof ook graag de volkstaal en de bijbehorende handgebaren die in de Italiaanse taal niet weg te denken, maar tegelijkertijd ontzettend belangrijk zijn.

My name is Gianni.
I have been teaching Italian for more than 25 years, privately and at the People's University in Delft and in the 1990s at the Voloks University in Rotterdam. I have been living in Delft since the 1990s. However, I am Italian, born and raised Florentine.

My city, Florence, is the capital of the Tuscany region. Florence is comparable for the language with Haarlem in the Netherlands: In Haarlem people speak ABN, so General Civilized Dutch, while in Florence (me too) they speak ABI or General Civilized Italian. This comparison is of course a bit of a joke on my part, there is no mention of ABI in Italy, but it is true that in Tuscany we speak with an accent that most resembles the Italian language as it is intended. It is not for nothing that l'Accademia della Crusca is located in Florence. Since the nineties I have lived in the beautiful city of Delft, in the heart of the Randstad. I taught Italian for several years at the Rotterdam People's University. These were almost always just conversation classes. I enjoy being in front of the class and sharing my knowledge with others. I always see teaching as 'give and take': I almost always learn something new during the lessons. Usually I teach adults who like to learn Italian for fun. I enrich the vocabulary with simple exercises, both in general and, if desired, in a specific area. In my teaching material I also like to highlight the vernacular and the accompanying hand gestures that are indispensable in the Italian language, but are also extremely important.

Latijn was en blijft een van de historisch belangrijkste talen in Europa. In deze les leer je de grondbeginselen van een oude en moeilijke taal. De lessen zijn flexibel, afhankelijk van de behoeften en beschikbaarheid van de studenten. Hola amigos! My name is Kevin and I am a Business Administration professional with first-hand experience in tutoring foreign students from different nationalities. My linguistic spectrum consists of English, French and Spanish, which I master both orally and written. As a native Spanish speaker, I possess significant experience in the construction of argumentative texts and academic essays in Spanish.

On the personal side, one of my greatest passions are philosophy and literature. As such, I am constantly reading and translating texts in order to increase and develop my language skills. Who? I am a twenty-eight-year-old French and U.S. Anthropology student. I am trained in FLE (French as a Second Language) and have worked for the National French Education Ministry as a Middle School Teacher on the beautiful island of Mayotte. Following that exotic experience, I decided to change course and study Anthropology all the while teaching French as a Second Language on a freelance basis. I moved to the Netherlands just recently and have decided to continue practicing as a French tutor. I have also tutored English classes in France for five years.

What? I offer French or FLE (French as a Second Language) courses based on multiple sources and I regularly renew them because it is important to be in adequacy with today's society. As I just started learning Dutch, I teach in English all the while aiming for 90% French during the class.
