Hi everyone :) My name is Eriko. I am a qualified Japanese teacher with over 13 years of teaching experience. Since 2017, I have been teaching Japanese to Transition Year (TY), 5th, and 6th-year students at local secondary schools here in Cork. Every year, I see students who only start studying Japanese in their 5th year go on to achieve an H1 in their Leaving Certificate. In my lessons: Oral Exam Preparation: In the lead-up to the oral exam around Easter, we thoroughly practice speaking and conduct weekly mock oral tests together. Written & Listening Preparation: From April onwards, we shift focus to the written exam. We practice past papers and complete weekly mock tests covering essays, listening, and reading comprehension. I also provide detailed corrections for your essays during our lessons. JLPT & JET Program Support: If you are planning to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or apply for the JET Program, I offer full support. I successfully helped students prepare for the JLPT while living in Japan, Vietnam, and Poland.
