The 5 string banjo is an amazing instrument. It's driving trademark sound and it's African roots has contributed to many music traditions, including Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz and world music. In my class you'll first learn the basics, how to hold and pick and read tablatures. We'll then go through how to play a tune, accompany other instruments and finally, improvise. During the year I'll teach you basic music theory like rhythm, harmony and a bit of ear training to help you develop your understanding and relationship to the instrument. We'll mainly play Bluegrass Scruggs style at first, then we'll dive into melodic style and sigle string, that will all be useful for playing other kinds of music, like Irish music, Pop, Jazz or Blues. In my course I will try to pass on to you with passion all the beauty that an instrument like the guitar is capable of giving. I use a modern method that will allow you to immediately become familiar with the instrument and get into the swing of things! Increasing your passion from lesson to lesson, without ever getting tired. In addition to deepening technique on the instrument, I prepare an in-depth study for each lesson that varies from student to student and follows a guideline (to be defined together) based on your artistic needs: we will compose unreleased pieces with the loop station, we will discover new music, we will study how your favorite artist composes and structures their songs. We will use techniques that will lead us to a concrete result in the shortest possible time! Teaching materials are included in the course will be given at each lesson.

I have been teaching in music schools and privately for eight years. But not only with my instrument. I have also worked as a music theory teacher or as a conductor. With my training in both classical and jazz music, we can not only learn different styles with the trombone, but also cover other subjects such as harmony, analysis or solfeggio. I’m teaching for 10 years. In Moscow I worked at music school for 4 years, also worked at Chopin Klavier-Institut in Switzerland for one year and doing replacements at music schools from time to time. I have a lot of experience working with small kids (from 4yo) and with adults as well. Have been studied with great internationally famous teachers, attended large amount of workshops and constantly improve my skills, so I will be happy to share my knowledge on my lessons. I have an individual approach to each student. During classes, I would like to develop the student's musical ear and improve the playing technique. I’m very creative and I always come up with interesting activities to make during the lesson in order to have a varied lesson and to keep student’s motivation. I would be happy to prepare students to competitions and give highly professional lessons , but I am also happy , when students just enjoy playing the piano for themselves and eventually have good feelings about our lessons.

Thanks to this course, you will have a good general knowledge of the drums as well as the methods to apply to play them "correctly". You will learn how to play different styles of music, how to tune and maintain your instrument, and you will have a solid foundation in rhythmic music theory. In addition, we will orient the topics covered according to the musical direction you wish to follow, adapting it to your encountered difficulties.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Hi, I’m Cassie Kinoshi—a British jazz saxophonist, award-winning composer, and Trinity Laban Conservatoire graduate, now based in Berlin. I’m currently looking for a couple of private saxophone and/or composition students who are keen to develop their skills in a supportive and engaging environment. I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else.
