I am a cello player and teacher in Basel and I offer private lessons! My classes are addressed to children and adults of all levels, beginners or advanced. I can teach in English, Italian, German and Spanish. My goal is that you have a lot of fun while you learn this wonderful instrument! I can teach at my place, at yours or also online if you prefer. My name is Gianni, I'm a professional musician, currently living in Basel and doing my master's degree in double bass at the Musik Akademie Basel. I've been playing and studying music since I was 7 years old; I started with classical guitar, then electric guitar and electric bass, then I started double bass and lately I'm learning saxophone. I would say my main instruments are guitar and bass and I have been teaching these for 5 years to students of different levels and different aspirations. For me it is very important to understand what the student wants and needs to guide him on the best path; I also try to always make the classes a fun learning environment. I could teach at my school - the jazz camps, in Basel - or at the student's home.

Cello lessons should arouse joy and curiosity. My students will explore their instrument in their own way and find their own sound. It doesn't matter whether it's classical, new music, pop/jazz or improvisations, because it's about making music. Since I have a very broad background - I studied classical education, now I'm studying new music, I play in a band and a string quartet and improvise regularly - I'm very happy to pass on my knowledge and experience. The lessons will be very individualized because I respond to the students' wishes and ideas. Group lessons for up to three people are also possible. As a violinist for 21 years now, 12 years at the conservatory and 9 years as a private teacher, I offer quality lessons adapted to your level. My name is Maksim and I am a professional cellist and soloist from Belarus Currently, I am studying at the Basel Musik Akademie where I am pursuing Ergänzungsstudium with Danjulo Ishizaka. I hold a Bachelor's degree from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and a Master's degree in Soloist Performance at Basel Musik Akademie (with Prof. Thomas Demenga). Besides giving solo and chamber concerts, teaching cello is my second passion! I enjoy sharing my experience with my students and watching them grow. I have worked in many educational institutions, such as EMC (School of Contemporary Music) Berklee International Network as Professor of Trumpet, jazz ensemble, and musical notation, in “Orquesta Juvenil del Sur,” an orchestra for underprivileged children, as a trumpet teacher at St Andrew's Scots School and as a private teacher. Apart from my teaching experience I was selected to participate in the renowned Focusyear Basel program along with seven international musicians at Jazzcampus Basel during 2020/2021 and after the end of the program I decided to start a master in composition in the same institution. Already the first year I had the honor of being chosen to arrange music for the wind ensemble of the prestigious MIT University (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and also to write original music for the Jazzcampus Big Band. I graduated from the Jazz career of the Manuel de Falla Superior Conservatory of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina and I received an Honorable Mention from the National Endowment for the Arts from Argentina in Unpublished music in the Jazz category and I also released my first album released by the Chicago label, United States Ears & Eyes Records.
