I am self motivated in tutoring for school courses and exams. My goal is to make students to understand scientific courses deeply. Holder of a university degree in Physics and having a love for science I am willing to bring you all my help and all my knowledge to help you acquire scientific knowledge. Classes are based on the student's questions, past or future assignments or interruptions, or any other inquiries. Starting from its difficulties or imposed work (homework, projects, ...) I accompany the resolution by highlighting the potential gaps, thus allowing a personalized work.

Each course can be very different, depending on specific expectations of the student or the moment.

My courses are aimed at students from primary, secondary or higher school.

Physics and mathematics are fabulous tools allowing us to better understand our environment and many applications to facilitate the daily life of men. Being a passionate of sciences I like to be able to explain and transmit this passion.

Thus giving private lessons is the opportunity to transmit this passion to people, to teach them all these wonderful concepts that I have also learned and that I continue to learn.

Opleiding

I completed my master's degree in Applied Physics with specialization in Environmental Physics at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Holder of a bachelor's degree in Physics at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

I also completed my Postgraduate Internship at Remote Sensing Laboratory at Fondazione Bruno Kessler in Trento, Italy.

Leservaring

I give private lessons for 5 years now. At present, all my students have passed their exams following the classes I gave them.
I have a good contact with the young people, being a facilitator. I was able to develop serious pedagogical skills in the courses I gave and studied.

I am experienced in tutoring Mathematics to high school students. I am familiar with GCSE, IB and A-Level. I can also work with you up to the level of a first-year bachelor degree mathematics course.

I am a native English speaker, born and raised in London, and attended a leading independent girls' school and successfully completing A-Levels in Mathematics (A), Economics (A*) and Spanish (B).

I also achieved an A* grade at GCSE level in English Language and Literature.

During my studies in Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam (graduated in 2015, MSc.) and in addition to my job as a consultant, I have always taught mathematics and statistics to secondary school students and university students (HBO and WO) with great pleasure. Since 2022 I work parttime as a math teacher and educational advisor in the Emma Children's Hospital in Amsterdam and besides I teach private students.

Lessons can be taught in English or Dutch and face-to-face or online, depending on the location.

As a graduate of the Bachelor's program in Mathematics and Computer Science and the Master's program in Mathematics, I've noticed that many students struggle with many subjects. These are often also the most crucial for their progress, as many future courses build on them. If you're a Bachelor's student facing the same challenge, you've come to the right place. We'll review the material together and work towards your exams, so you can confidently take them.

From a 'birds-eye view', many of these courses clearly have specific types of assignments that you must be able to pass your exam. We pick out these kinds of assignments and we will train you together in order to master them. In addition, we will counteract your weaknesses by going through assignments and theory about it.

Mathematics, physics and arithmetic are subjects that many people have difficulty with. I believe that with good guidance, anyone can get a good grade for these subjects. During the lessons we look at what the stumbling points are, which I will then explain in the best possible way what is clearest for the student. Exact subjects can be made much easier by applying handy tricks. During the lessons I will convey this in the clearest possible way. Everyone thinks differently and I take that into account. Together we will see what works best for you!

I am a Maths and Physics Tutor with over 8 years of experience tutoring teenagers, students and young adults. After having received a bachelor in Aerospace Engineering and Philosophy & Mathematics, I am now doing research at the University of Cambridge in the field of AI. Because of this, I am only able to give online classes.

My teaching is based on a principles of compassion, understanding and personalisation. I believe that every student is different and that for every student a tailor-made approach is required to create the perfect lesson. After all, each of us retains information in a different way. For some, visual learning is crucial, while for others simply talking through the problem can be enough. If you are struggling with a specific subject, we can look together at what you are good at and what we can best focus on during the sessions. A few subjects that I have coached students in in the past are: mathematics, business economics, economics, arithmetic, accounting/accountancy, cost accounting, managerial accounting, financial accounting, corporate finance, risk management and investments. I give tips on which information is most important, how you can best prepare for the subject, and how you can best read test questions. This method has proven to be very effective!

During my sessions I coach almost everyone! From pupils at the vmbo to (almost) graduates at the university, in all financial-economic subjects. Because of this I have developed a coaching structure that is effective, efficient, and fun.

During exam training I work with old exams with a focus on the latest developments in the field. In this way I ensure that students get a good grip on the exam material and enter the exams with confidence. During the training I teach the students how an exam is structured so that they feel familiar with the final exam.

Tutoring or homework support are designed in consultation. Some pupils or students benefit from doing assignments together, while others need more explanation of the theory.
