Italian lessons for everyone, Italian for adults
From 64.13 $ /h
Hello! My name is Mimi. I am a native speaker, and I teach Italian and English. I have a bachelor's degree - Italian and art history teacher.
I am an experienced teacher who uses all modern methods.
I think it is important to take the personal wishes of my students into account when drawing up a curriculum. Everyone learns with a specific goal and with the help of a tailor-made program this goal is best achieved. For example, it is possible to focus on Italian grammar or on speaking skills or to have all aspects (reading, listening, speaking and writing skills) come back.

About Me
I am Mimi, native speaker and Italian teacher. I have a bachelor's degree - Italian and art history teacher. I am an experienced teacher who uses all modern methods.
I was raised bilingual, I come from Slovenia and my native region borders Italy. I also have dual nationality, Slovenian and Italian. My relatives live in Slovenia and Italy - which is a “mixed” area where the influence of Italian language and culture is very strong. I also studied Italian at high school and then studied Italian at university. I am an Italian language and Art History teacher.
My students have different motivations for learning Italian. It is important to recognize what your own motivation is. I try to adapt my lessons to the wishes, motivation and character of each student.
I am interested in other people and I find that my students quickly become comfortable with them
and that creates a nice environment to learn a language.
I also love art, beauty and poetry.
When I was a student I had a short poem by Salvatore Quasimodo, a Nobel Prize poet from Sicily, written on the wall in my room:
Everyone stands alone in the heart of the earth
pierced by a ray of the sun:
and suddenly it is evening.
Ognuno stand solo sul cuor della terra
trafitto da un raggio di sole:
ed e subito sera
What I like is that the Italians are so temperamental, they show emotions and they have a lot of love for food, cooking and sitting around the table with family and friends. That is also important to me.
