About Me

I have been playing and composing music for more than 10 years, my preferred instrument is guitar and my teaching method is mainly based on understanding how your instrument works, what you can create with it and how to translate ideas and emotions into sounds.

Self taught artist. I have been learning and practicing guitar and music theory for 15 years. I put in place my own learning book with the purpose of helping my students improve quickly.

Hi, my name is Youssef.

I first picked up the guitar a couple of years ago, after i got inspired by guitar heroes like Clapton, Hendrix, Slash, Mayer.. I'm always on my journey because the learning never really stops. At the moment, i'm taking online lessons provided by the Berklee College of Music, and always looking to improve on the instrument.

These days, I really enjoy teaching guitar and helping other people experience the same creative joy that’s brought me so much pleasure over the years. Over the past year, I taught private lessons to students of all different skill levels in private, 1-on-1 sessions. And what I’ve learned over that year of teaching guitar is that in order to make consistent progress, you must have a well-crafted roadmap for both learning and practicing.

So with many weeks of work, I put together a program that is exactly that.

The program i made is inspired by the following 4 steps philosophy:
1. The right lesson at the right time .
2. With a clear outcome in mind .
3. Then apply it immediately, in a musical context .
4. And do it consistently until it sticks!

An experienced graduate in music theory and oud/lute, I offer you a method which will allow you not only to learn to play the lute/oud, but also to decipher scores and improvise independently of the teacher afterwards. Each course will be based on theoretical notions and instrumental applications.
