As a professional social worker I will provide you a listening ear, advise where possible and it's an opportunity to spar about certain situations. Mijn naam is Alden. De afgelopen drie jaren heb ik als Student-Assistent en Tutor Internationaal- en Europees recht gewerkt aan de Open Universiteit. Daarnaast ben ik ook betrokken geweest bij andere rechtsvakken. Mijn werkzaamheden bestonden uit het begeleiden van studenten, onderwerpen tijdens de colleges, het opzetten van nieuwe (master)vakken, het voorbereiden van examens, begeleiden en nakijken van essays en scripties. The subjects of World History and Social Studies are often left aside as they are seen as less useful that the other subjects, but I believe children can learn a lot from observing and learning about what happened in the past and what happens today. I want to share my knowledge about these subjects with them while also helping them managing the knowledge they already have and need to learn. In schools, history is often taught through learning dates and events but history should be taught in the form of a story, which is easier to remember, and the useful information will stick longer.
I am willing to help my students with the homework they have as well and teach them some skills in how to organize and manage the work they receive.

I have teaching experience in international schools in Qatar, Italy and the US with students in middle school and high school, having taught the American curriculum and the International Baccalaureates curriculum.
