This is a communicative English session where you will learn how to improve your speaking skills. We'll discuss synonyms, idioms, proverbs, phrasal verbs, prepositional verbs, and social English in general. It's also possible to concentrate solely on public speaking, intonation, and voice projection. To assist you develop your learning skills and practice them more, employ audio recordings, brief texts, and videos. If you have any specific subjects in mind, we can talk about them and learn a lot about them.
This lesson is for you if you already have adequate grammatical abilities and wish to progress to communication and begin speaking English. Communication skills allow you to understand and be understood by others. Communication skills involve listening, speaking, observing. It is also helpful to understand the differences in how to communicate through face-to-face interactions, phone conversations and digital communications like email and social media.
When I'm working with others, I try to maintain a cheerful attitude, keep an open mind, and ask questions to clarify things. I also smile and can motivate and inspire you to develop your abilities, increase your confidence, and polish your thoughts.

My name is Laurie and I am an independent FLE teacher, graduated in French and Romance Languages and Literature since 2012. I have eight years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I created a learning method for online courses. I have been preparing students for the DELF, DALF, TCF, FIDE, admission exams, etc. for several years.

The course includes:
-The material (articles, videos, exercises based on images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises, etc.). I use google doc, so the ideal is to have a gmail address to be able to access it.
-Correction of exercises outside the course (written expressions are corrected outside the course, or with the student, depending on their needs).
-Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone.
-A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar/conjugation, sent after each lesson.
-If necessary, a recording of the vocabulary (for beginners).
-Carrying out online exercises and tests based on the vocabulary sheets sent.
-Motivation, laughter, good humor :-)

My method:
-It is oral based.
-For grammar, I use a particular method which allows oral structures to be automated.
-We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises to pose your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-)
-Everything goes through the oral before going through the writing but I obviously adapt to the needs of the students.
-The course is a little different for children and teenagers: I use interactive games and cards via the webcam.

I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years.
