Professional drum lessons for all ages, styles and levels

Hey! Would you like to learn to play that one track (or several tracks) from Coldplay, John Legend, Elton John, .. on the piano, but you don't know where to start? Or would you like to learn how to produce, mix and master with Ableton Live to create your own tracks? Or would you like to learn how a synthesizer works and how you can make sounds with it? I can help you! I've been playing the piano for about 15 years now after my Pop & Jazz education, and I've done quite a few performances in all kinds of genres. In addition, I also obtained a degree in Electronic Music Production at Point Blank Music School, and I am currently active as a keyboard player and producer. I mainly play pop music, but we can certainly look at other genres as well. For piano lessons I recommend 30 minutes so that we can cover new topics each lesson that you can then practice at home. For Ableton Live, 60 minutes is more suitable if you want to get the hang of it quickly, but you can certainly learn it in 30 minutes per lesson. Interested? Hi, my name is Jim. I'm an electronic music producer with a Master’s degree in Music from the Fontys Academy of Arts (Rockacademie) in Tilburg, Netherlands. For me, making music is about building the skills and mindset to bring creative ideas to life and I’m passionate about helping others do the same. As Malvae, I have written, sung, produced, mixed, and performed my own music, reaching #17 in the Spotify Viral 50 charts in the USA, gathering millions of streams, and featuring in films like the upcoming documentary King of the Streets and a Netflix series. One of the highlights of my artistic journey was the Amazonas Project, where I traveled deep into the Amazon rainforest to record and transform natural sounds into a full-length concept album, blending storytelling, sound design, and music into a single experience. I had the honour of headlining my own show at Melkweg Amsterdam, one of the Netherlands' most iconic venues, and curated my own events while performing immersive, self-built live sets with visuals. I’ve also taught technical music skills at professional facilities such as Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum. Music has taken me to places I never imagined, from the Amazon rainforest to some of the most iconic stages and I'm excited to help you build your own creative path. In my lessons, I offer structured, personalised education in music production, composition, sound design, mixing, mastering, and live performance. My own musical path often started by recording sounds from my travels around the world and blending them with synthesizers and my voice. Beatboxing is a relatively unknown discipline, even though it allows for an absolutely incredible musical variety: percussion, whistles, bass, special sounds straight out of an alien movie... our body is an instrument in itself, and learning beatbox is accessible to everyone! (Take a look at some beatboxer videos online, you'll be amazed!) I'll take you step by step, starting with easy and useful sounds, gradually moving towards impressive, fun sounds, or those of your choice. In addition, I practice with you and complete your knowledge of music theory and particularly rhythm when necessary. Africa is the center of the rhythms of the 6/8 register. Benin's musical identity comes from the many sources of our cultures and general traditions. This course is initiated in order to allow drummers to discover and access all the rhythmic potential for their performance through the learning and practice of Benin Polyrythmie. Methodology I base my teaching what the student wants to learn and also through years of teaching and learning I can help guide you on this path. Techniques, phrase development, solo, accompaniment, odd rhythms and creation of your own sound. We will cover traditional rhythms from Turkey, the Balkans, Egypt. I can teach darbuka and bendir from beginner to advanced level. Riq, indian tabla, konnakol, cajon, daf, indian tabla and percussion set ups can also be taught A bit about me: I have been playing oriental percussion professionally since 2010 with many groups and touring all over the world and I've recorded albums for groups such as Light in Babylon.

We will study everything related to computer composition. Sound synthesis, the structure of a piece, connection with external synthesizers, mixing and mastering. We will also be able to work on orchestral harmonization and setting up a streaming setup.
