I am passionate about teaching guitar! Over the last 10 years I have been teaching students from ages 7-70 from complete beginners to advanced players with one thing in common - their wish to play guitar more comfortably and have fun while doing it! I am a classical guitarist with a background in pedagogy, psychology and physiotherapy, my approach - methodical. While working on the things you want to improve and learn I will also help you develop a deep understanding of the theory and principles that music is built upon. Our lessons will be exploratory and imaginative whilst also underpinned by technical knowledge so that you can enjoy playing comfortably and without pain. My aim is to get you to where you want to be playing guitar, whether that be for friends at New Year or on the stage at Carnegie Hall!

Hello! My name is Yaiza and I am a guitar teacher and student of LUCA (School of arts) in Leuven. I am here to help you to learn how to play the guitar. It doesn't matter what is your level, if you are a beginner or if you have been playing for a while. We will work together with tablature and pentagrams, as you prefer! We will use your favourite songs, fun exercises, listen to music, and other methods to enjoy learning. I really love to teach and every person has something special to show through music. Graduated in Music - Having studied piano (classical) at the University of Évora (Portugal), Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany) and at the Aquiles Delle Vigne International Music Academy. She is currently studying a Masters in Performance at LUCA School of Arts, Leuven, Belgium. I have a lot of experience in teaching piano and music theory in different musical styles and theoretical/musical training from children to adults, in official conservatories, music schools and private lessons, In my classes I try to share my musical knowledge, both practically and theoretically. The courses are aimed at those who want to have more direct contact with music, whether for the first time or not. I take great pleasure in teaching and I give great importance to each student. I like to choose repertoire that matches both student's musical tastes and technical work in need. I always try to encourage students and provide quality teaching. Guitar lessons for (absolute) beginners with a bit of theory, I have been playing at the rock school in Leuven for 2 years and am also in a band. We will learn the basic chords/riffs together...and based on your interests we will also learn songs. I don't have a lot of experience, but I can help you take your first steps in guitar.

Piano lessons adapted to your taste and level. You tell us what you expect from the lessons so that I can give you optimal piano lessons. For example: you want to learn to read and play piano pieces. I must also give you the relevant theory. It is your choice to study additional theory, but it is not necessary. My lessons are therefore efficiently oriented. As a student, you can ultimately choose which piano pieces we work on (it must first be approved by me), so that playing the piano remains fun and educational. I cover classical music, pop music, video games, movies, anime music, etc... so many genres! Another example: you want to make a piano cover of an existing piece (e.g. pop music or movie music). I will give you the theory of chords and reading staves. This way you can get started quickly. Together we will practice enough so that you understand everything well! We can also improvise together on your piano. Feel free to message us if you have any questions :) I have already given private lessons to adults, teenagers and children both online and in person. Both options work great! We do this online via Skype or another app if desired. Physically we do it in Leuven city centre, where there is a handy large indoor bicycle shed. Ideally I teach once a week, you then continue practicing on your piano at home towards the next lesson the following week. If you would like lessons every other week or lessons twice a week, that is also possible for me. Why choose to learn to play the piano? It has been scientifically proven that playing an instrument makes someone smarter (good brain training). You can show your piano skills to others, but you can also make yourself happy and reward through your piano. I've heard from my friends that they regret not learning to play an instrument, hopefully you won't be like them... You only Live one time! What are you waiting for? I hope to see you then! ^_^

Music is, also, a very powerful tool for emotional self-regulation. I have years of experience performing for live audiences with local bands in different countries (Mexico, USA, Germany, Belgium), from rock, metal, blues, indie, pop, and even folk. I always adapt my lessons to the student’s intuition and to what the student wants to achieve (from learning their favorite songs to particular techniques). To enjoy and have fun playing is always very central to my lessons. You can also add basic music theory, and some singing techniques to broaden your musical experience (only the basic singing lessons would represent an extra cost). Let’s awaken the dormant artist in you!

Private solfège/solfège lessons. All levels are welcome. Can be used as tutoring! Music theory lessons do not cover harmony theory in detail, but they do provide a general knowledge of music theory. The content of the lessons is flexible and depends on the wishes of the student!

I am an enthusiastic professional violinist and teacher. I can teach you classical violin, folk songs from Greece and Middle East, as well as your favourite pop tunes and tunes of almost any other music genre! Being well classically trained, I can help you build a solid violin technique and prepare you for giving your best during important music occasions such as exams, auditions, concerts etc. Also, being member of pop - oriental bands with concerts around Belgium, France and Greece, having played with several classical and contemporary music ensembles and orchestras, as well as coming from a family of musicians, my lessons are ideal for students who want to learn to be at ease when they eventually make music with others. :) All pieces can be taught either by ear, music scores or BOTH!! Teaching you basic and/or more advanced music theory to facilitate your violin learning if you don't know yet how to read and write music, can be easily done! My personal experience with music psychology and body movement techniques for musicians have enriched my knowledge and teaching skills. Extra attention is given during the lessons to not only help you build a strong and steadfast technique and develop your music ear, but also to acquire a confident presence and attitude for when you play for others! All is being done with gentle care towards your body's physiology and feelings, and consideration of your learning style. :)) Finally, I'm at your disposal in between the lessons, answering to any questions you might have and offering you support and guidance with your new insights! :D

The flute it’s a quite complex instrument, where the challenge is to find the balance between all the parameter, such as posture(in order to learn how to play fast passage), lips and everything concerning breathing technique(in order to get the best clear and powerful sound). It’ my job to guide the student in order to let him/her find that stability in order to get best results possible.

20 year old student in Leuven who likes to help people get a lot of pleasure / support from playing the classical guitar. Just graduated after 11 years of conservatory classical guitar. 9 years basic diploma and 2 years specialization classical guitar. In addition, followed the following courses: music theory / music history / improvisation (this on electric guitar) / band coaching / ensemble playing / rock school ... Can impart the most on a technical level and in the field of interpretation on the classical guitar. In consultation with the student during the first lesson, we determine what we want to achieve by the end of the lesson / lesson series. A particular piece?
