In my class, you will learn the foundations behind creating a great song including: Songwriting forms and structure in all genres, music theory and understanding chord progressions and modes, breaking music theory conventions in order to create a unique sound, great songwriting tools to help with 'writers block', performance coaching and how to convey your songs message on stage as well as all things music industry, including the importance of copyright and how to protect your songs. My students will be working with me on constructing songs as beginners and my more experienced songwriting students will work with professional music industry briefs that I will provide. Students will be able to write songs comfortably and autonomously after only a handful of lessons with me.
