Welcome to my class! I am Ioannis and I am a mathematician with an inherent passion for teaching the subject. I have a Master's degree in Mathematics from the university of Helsinki (grade: 5/5, title: excellent). I offer tutoring for high school and university level Mathematics: please contact me with some information on what you need help with. I facilitate online (usually via Zoom) and contact teaching and have significant previous experience in both. -For online teaching, I use a pen tablet where you can follow my writing without having to spend time coping everything down as I can later share the notes with you. This way you can focus more on understanding! -For contact teaching, I use the whiteboard that I have. I am always patient, encourage questions and facilitate in-depth learning. Moreover, I strongly believe that with practice and determination anyone can succeed in Mathematics. My teaching style is interactive: I ask and I am happy to answer lots of questions to ensure that you really understand the topic discussed. You shouldn't be afraid of giving a wrong answer as making mistakes is a crucial part of the learning process! This course aims to give you the knowledge and tools necessary to better understand and master mathematics and physics. We provide support for students of all majors. The class will follow the exam board the students are currently learning at school, e.g. IB, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, AP and so on. By following the syllabus of the specific exam board, I will go through any topics you do not understand or are not very clear by explaining the theorem and showing the examples. I will also giving students relative questions to test their knowledge and understanding on this topic. The class is designed to help the students with their maths and it can be treated as a revision session, doing preparation with students for the exams.

Physics -physics It is one of the branches of science that specializes in studying the structure of matter, as it is concerned with all aspects of nature on the visible and micro levels. In physics, we study many topics related to matter, energy, charges, and others. I am interested in teaching physics so that the information reaches the student completely.

During my high school education in Portugal, I found myself unchallenged and unmotivated by the math curriculum. Seven years later, as a mathematician at the beginning of my academic career, I think I'm an ideal tutor for students in a similar position—interested in math but not quite finding what they need at school. I'm also available to help more advanced students (from university or beyond) who need advice and direction on university-level topics. Additionally, I'm happy to help adults who need help restarting their mathematical education or filling in gaps in their understanding. I'm interested in talking about anything mathematical, from linear inequalities to Hilbert's Nullstellensatz. I'm also familiar with computer science, both in theory and practice. I can easily take the reins and "lecture" on most topics but would prefer to steer towards whatever the student finds interesting. I strongly believe that learning math is an active, creative process.

I am a teacher of mathematics and I give extra hours for private lessons in science subjects. These courses are intended primarily for cycle and college students in Geneva, students in private schools and people who have passed this stage but need to upgrade for professional needs. As a result, I am generally available within 3 days of your request, I also travel to the canton of Geneva via the TPG, and travel costs are included in my rates. Finally, for a long-term follow-up, I can give you exercises to do between sessions and also correct them at home. I speak and understand English, but my lessons will be mainly in French.
