Ciao! My name is Giampaolo. I have recently moved to Edinburgh from Sicily, Italy, where I worked as a music teacher for 13 years. I have been teaching the flute since I was 15 years old.
Most of all I think learning music should be enjoyed. While it is a challenge to learn a new skill, for beginners, or to master a new piece, for the more advanced, I aim to make this challenge enjoyable at every stage. I enjoy teaching students of all abilities, from teaching beginners the basics to helping more advanced flautists play new styles. If a student has a technique that they would particularly like to improve, I tailor the lesson to fit the student's needs, so he/she feels happy they are working towards their own goals.
I have been teaching the flute privately for 13 years since I was 15 years old.
During this time I have taught students of all ages, from children to adults, and have also taught at primary school (for one year) and secondary school levels (two and a half years).
