Have a piano in your home that's merely for decoration? Want to learn how to play it? This class is for those folks who have either always wanted to learn how to play piano and read music, or for those experienced players who want to brush up on their skills and discover new repertoire.

I'm a musician from the US working and traveling in Belgium. I was a music instructor for the last three years in the states. I have a ton of experience working with very young beginners as well as middle schoolers and high schoolers.

Being highly skilled in sight-reading, I have often realized how valuable and enjoyable it is to possess that “gift.” After more than ten years of teaching students of different levels and aspirations, I have observed a common thread: regardless of their goals, all were eager to improve their ability to read and interpret new, unfamiliar music.

Currently, I am developing a multifaceted approach designed to help students understand a composition at first sight. This method combines specific pattern recognition and structural score-mapping, anchored in a fundamental understanding of rhythm, pitch, and harmony, together with highly effective practice and memorization strategies personalized to each student's needs and technical challenges.

For over ten years, I have been teaching students of all ages and levels. In addition to regular lessons, I offer the opportunities to perform at the yearly class concert as well as dedicated preparation for ABRSM piano examinations.

I'm a pianist with extensive performing experience on international stages and a first-prize winner of more than 30 international piano competitions across Europe and USA. I hold a Master's degree and four Postgraduate degrees (piano and chamber music) from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.

Pianiste depuis l’âge de 7 ans, diplômée d'un DEM de piano au CRR de Paris et aujourd’hui étudiante au Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, je propose des cours de piano, de solfège et de coaching audition/concert pour tous les âges et tous les niveaux.

Passionnée de musique et de pédagogie, j'enseigne depuis plus de 6 ans. J’ai eu plusieurs expériences, d’abord en cours particuliers et dans diverses associations à Paris. Plus tard, j’ai remplacé pendant 6 mois Laurent Durupt, professeur de piano au Conservatoire du XIVe et plus ponctuellement d’autres professeurs de piano au Conservatoire du XIe.
J’ai également eu l’occasion d’être directrice artistique et coach piano pour un album du label Vita Productions.
En tant que professeur, je m’adapte selon le profil et les motivations de chacun. J’attache une importance particulière à développer une base technique solide afin que peu importe votre niveau, vous preniez du plaisir à jouer et apprendre des morceaux. Titulaire de 2 diplômes d'État d'enseignement obtenus au Cefedem de Lyon en formation musicale, et musiques actuelles; ainsi que d'un DEM de Jazz.

Différentes formules sont possibles: cours individuel, à 2 ou à 3.

Pour les enfants de 7 à 12 ans c'est 30 minutes, pour les adolescents et adultes c'est 45 minutes.

I don't use a specific method, but I like to work very specifically on all aspects of piano playing. We'll alternate between skills training and purely musical lessons, where you can apply the acquired skills or techniques to your pieces. This frees up more focus for the most important thing: making beautiful music.
