I am primarily an SEN Maths tutor, although have worked with all ages and abilities. I have been a full time tutor for 4 years, and before this I worked in schools as an LSA and teacher. I teach 1-1 lessons and tailor each class to the individual so they are certain to get the best out of each class. I work with students preparing for exams, those unable to attend school, or those who just need extra support. All of my students going for exams have achieved either their expected grade or higher; and every student I have worked with entrance exams on have been accepted to their first choice of school.

About Me
I am a full-time Maths in English tutor that specialises in SEN (specifically: ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, SEMH). I have been a full time tutor since the beginning of 2020, and before that worked as a Maths and SEN teacher in both primary and secondary schools in London, alongside tutoring part time. I am based between London (England), Luxembourg and Chamonix (France).
After completing my secondary education in Luxembourg (European school); I moved to London to complete a Psychology degree. While studying, I joined the Officer's Training Corps, a reserve unit for the British Military. As soon as I completed my education; I started working as an SEN LSA in a secondary school. I then moved to a primary school as the Y5/Y6 Maths teacher, where all my students achieved higher than predicted grades. I moved to a secondary school to work as a Maths SEN teacher, where again my Y11 students all achieved higher than predicted grades. As covid hit, I made the decision to leave teaching in schools and focus on full time tutoring as I believe students have the best chance at achieving their full potential with 1-1 tuition sessions.
Education
European Baccalaureate (2013) - European School of Luxembourg.
BSc Psychology (2016) - London South Bank University.
BSc Mathematics (ongoing) - Open University.
Experience / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
TEFL (2015) - Worked across the country in Sri Lanka for 2 months delivering English lessons to students ranging from first year of primary school, to monks living in temples, to adults studying business degrees.
Teaching Maths to SEN students (2018) - a workshop to improve my skills at delivering ideas and concepts in several different ways and to make learning more accessible.
Dyslexia and Dyscalculia (2018) - extensive training in learning to differentiate work to students with both dyslexia and dyscalculia
Epilepsy training (2019) - workshop dedicated to supporting students who may suffer seizures and other medical emergencies.

EXPERIENCE
Self employed tutor (2020 - present) - Having taught as a part time tutor since 2017, I made the move to become full-time in March 2020. I currently work with Harrison Allen and do freelance work. I have taught EYFS to students aged 2-4; 7+; SATS; 11+; 13+; GCSEs; Functional Skills and the European Baccalaureate. All my 11+ students have got into their first-choice school and one with a scholarship. So far, all of my final exam students have achieved their predicted grade or higher. I have taught a mixture of home-schooled students, taking them through these exams or just teaching them the basics/what they need for the future; and students attending school who need/want an extra boost.
