For the past five years, I have worked with children across a variety of age groups in primary schools and Kumon centers as a teaching assistant. I'm offering two types of classes: ESL Conversation Classes: We can talk about a range of topics and work together to improve your conversational skills. We would choose the topic prior to the lesson (e.g. music, the workplace, travel, directions) and then I would prepare the lesson accordingly. KS1 & KS2 English Tutoring: These sessions are geared towards Primary School aged children from Year 2 - Year 6. I can provide all-around English support as well as preparation for SAT exams. Using my experience as a student, I first teach the vocabulary that will later be memorized through different exercises, both written and oral. This is how grammar will also be implemented. We will try to liven up the classes with short videos and songs from time to time, as I think they are a good tool to improve oral comprehension. If parents prefer to focus on general school support, we will work on the most difficult subjects, trying to give some time to each one, in a pedagogical and calm way.
