Trusted teacher: Hi there! I'm Lynn, a languages and all culture-related enthusiast with a particularly keen interest in singing, storytelling and transdisciplinary art. Which in turn led me to be a freshly graduated Master-student in Performing Arts, with a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Letters where I primarily studied English as well as Russian linguistics and literature, along with a Dutch minor. These university years gave me the opportunity amongst others to learn more in-depth about the subjects I was most passionate about during my Art Humanities, i.e. performance studies, philosophy, art - and cultural history, as well as literary/critical analysis of various different artforms. Brought up bilingual (French-Dutch) from earliest infancy, I very early came to realise the many possibilities and encounters this opened up, which encouraged me to continue down this path of language learning and intercultural communication. At first, I was incredibly fortunate to benefit from the work of a truly invested and passionate English teacher during the scope of my humanities and to acknowledge all of the difference that it makes when learning a foreign language. Subsequently, prior to my studies I got the chance to travel to Ireland for a year during which I mainly worked as an au pair. This not only took my English to the next level, but also sharpened my childcare skills and pedagogical abilities. Now that I've completed my studies and am opening up a new chapter of my working-life, I'm very excited to put all of this baggage to work along with you! I wholeheartedly believe in the power of play and sharing fun, artistic and/or meaningful activities which help put things into practice in order to learn a new language in a lively, profound and sustainable way. For those already are familiar with Dutch; expanding existing knowledge together with a deeper cultural understanding and insight. All students will be provided lesson schedules in advance for their review (time permitting). The main focus is on total immersion in a fun and comprehensible way, without omitting important aspects such as grammar, etc. SOME REVIEWS: Chevaan: Catherina is without a doubt THE best tutor we know. She is exceptionally committed and is always looking to inspire her students. She has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty to help our son with his German. She provides excellent study material, engaging homework and follows up to ensure that her students have really grasped the subject matter. Brian: Catharina has been teaching our 11 year old daughter for the past few months and we are very impressed with her excellent progress in this short space of time. Catharina has developed a very good rapport with our daughter and is patient and knowledgeable. Our daughter always looks forward to her next lesson and even hands in her homework on time! Marcel is a patient and calm teacher who is enjoyable to work with. I signed up for 10 lessons over the summer while recovering from surgery and I learned more Dutch than I thought I would. I am no longer intimated by the language! While I cannot continue at the same pace now that I am back at work, I owe a debt of thanks to Marcel for starting the journey.

Rina is an excellent teacher with an individual approach to the student. Rina immediately found a common language with my children and managed to get interested in learning the Dutch language, she explains the material very simply and clearly, and this is the secret of progress in learning the language.

My daughter has had a few lessons with Hala and they have been great. I already see a shift in her confidence with regard to her ability to solve maths problems she was having difficulty with. We hope to continue to work with Hala as my daughter progresses through basisschool.
