Hi,

My name is Sotiris and I’m a guitarist from Athens, Greece. I discovered my passion for the guitar at the age of seven it all started when I first heard Led Zeppelin.That sound pulled me into the world of guitar and soon led me to the blues, where my musical journey truly began.Over the years, I’ve explored many styles, from electric blues, jazz, rock, and pop to acoustic fingerstyle solo guitar.

I studied Jazz and Pop Guitar at the HKU Utrechts Conservatorium,where I deepened my understanding of both performance and teaching.I’m currently offering electric and acoustic guitar lessons,as well as music theory. Each student learns differently, so I always adapt my lessons to fit their individual goals, taste, and pace. My aim is to help students grow as musicians, discover their own sound, and enjoy every step of the learning process.

Now based in Utrecht, I’m active as both a performer and teacher, constantly inspired by the connection between creativity, expression, and learning.

My teaching covers a broad range of elements, from jazz, blues, pop, and rock on electric guitar to fingerstyle, blues, folk, pop, and different tunings on acoustic guitar. I teach all levels:from beginners taking their first steps to advanced players looking to explore creative approaches and develop their own musical voice. Having played in bands and studied at the HKU Conservatorium, I enjoy sharing both practical experience and musical ideas with my students.
For me, teaching is more than just sharing skills it’s about creating a friendly, inspiring environment where students can have fun, explore, and grow at their own pace. Whether you want to learn songs, improve technique, try improvisation, or experiment with sound, I’m here to help you reach your musical goals.

Professional equipment is used, including microphones for optimal sound quality.
Language Requirements:
Currently learning Dutch, but for now, students must understand English.

Fun, emersive classes meant to draw to the student to the foundations of rock/blues and guitar in general. I have 20 years of experience playing the guitar. I have played for several groups a few years back and want to continue introducing students to my love for acoustic guitar!

The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject.

Each student has different needs and different abilities. It's just a matter of getting to know the student, in order to identify both the weaknesses and strengths on which to work.

Come study guitar with me! Eerste, ik leer Nederlands een beetje elke dag, maar mijn Nederlands nog steeds best wel slecht is! Dus ik leer meeste in Engels. I have been teaching guitarists of all ages and skill levels for almost 15 years! Whether you are a beginner who needs encouragement and clarity, or a seasoned player looking to add color to their harmony and deepen their composition/improvisation --- all are welcome! Combining my knowledge of subtle anatomies of the hands and arms, and experience as a professional player, your own personal learning process will be accelerated! Together we will develop technique, musical understanding, and transcribing and learning your favorite music! We will use a variety of methods to improve playing and sharpen a practice routine so that guitar playing is fun, productive, and feels good! "Get it in your Head, Put it in the Shed, Then you can SHRED!".

The guitar lessons are partly theory and partly practice. During the first guitar lesson I first look at the starting level. This is different for each guitar student. You can follow guitar lessons for both the acoustic guitar and the electric guitar. With electric guitar lessons, developing your own sound using guitar effects is also part of the guitar lesson.
