I am a British music teacher and music therapist living in Madrid. I offer music theory, singing and piano lessons for children. I am a qualified music therapist, pianist and singer. I am particularly interested in teaching beginners in order to give them a strong foundation in music and to give learners a positive first experience of learning music. I am a British music therapist and music teacher. I have 8 years experience of teaching adult and children beginners the piano, singing and music theory. I believe it is extremely important to establish a strong foundation in music in order to successfully progress. I adapt lessons to learners' personality and needs, and I believe it is very important to provide a positive experience of learning music; one that is challenging yet nurturing.

MA Music Therapy - Roehampton University.
MSc Psychology - University of Westminster.
ABRSM grade 8 piano, singing and music theory - Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

My name is Blanca and I am a lyrical singer graduated from the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid. Master in Spanish and Latin American music. Active singer and teacher. I have experience as a teacher of both lyrical and modern and musical singing. I have taught children from 4-5 years old, adolescents, adults and the elderly. I also prepare voices for actors, for choral singers who want to improve and for people who need vocal technique in their work and want to correct or improve vocal delivery, and not get tired talking.

I have students of different levels, who start from zero level to students who already sing and are looking for a vocal coach to prepare for different tests or entrance exams, for lyrical singers, musical theater singers and actors.

I teach classes in Madrid (Puerta del Ángel area next to Puente Segovia) and at home (consult). Classes for one or several students, small groups too.

In the classes you will learn to work the voice technically and interpretively, understanding that the voice works together with the body, posture, resonators, expression, breathing, vocal technique, repertoire, language, color, expressiveness, physical condition and psychology of the singer.

The classes are made up of a first technical part with specific exercises to learn how the voice works and training various aspects of the voice such as breathing, air, connection, resonators, etc. with various types of vocalizations focused on working on different aspects. Then we work on the works and songs, applying the knowledge acquired to the repertoire, focusing on the emission, expressiveness and vocal technique necessary for the work and style. We also study the phonetics of the language of the song (Spanish, English, French, German and Italian).

I have additional training in classical and modern dance (ISTD) and violin (professional qualification).

I am a classical trained pianist and a graduate student of the Paris Regional Conservatory (Diplôme de fin d'Études Musicales, D.E.M.). I offer piano lessons for all levels and ages.

Having evolved in this field since a very young age and having a very good contact with students, I am able to adapt and respond to the needs of each one in order to help them develop musically. Indeed, I speak fluently French, English and have a good Spanish level.

My goal is to help students develop and progress in a friendly and efficient way.

I teach singing, piano, music awareness/introduction and solfège.

I live in Madrid and I am a student of a Higher Degree in Singing (Jazz and Modern Music). I dedicate a good part of my time to teaching (musical and linguistic) in the format of private classes online or at home.

I started giving private classes at home to children when I lived in Germany. During the 22-23 academic year I gave piano classes to students of all ages at the RedMusik Music School (Igualada, Catalonia).
I studied the piano and other instruments for more than 15 years at the UGDA and at the Luxembourg City Conservatory of Music. After many years of music theory and piano I obtained the „Première Mention“ certificate from the Conservatory, with the qualification "Très Bien".

A good music lesson should include not only technique and reading sheet music, but also theoretical and harmonic study, improvisation, recreational playing with the instrument, and ear training and rhythm exercises. I am interested in designing the lesson creatively and adapting it to the needs and desires of the student.

Violin is a classical instrument but you can play everything on the violin :) if you want to learn to play the violin or improve your level, let me know! First, we will learn to hold the violin and bow, then we will learn to play notes one by one, and then we will learn to combine individual notes into a melody. For this we will need to study the rhythm. But it is no more difficult than arithmetic. We will play music from different composers, different styles and different eras. Believe me, this develops the brain tremendously.

My classes are 100% focused on the interests and needs of the students. We will address everything that the student is interested in and we will develop knowledge in a dynamic and fluid way. In my Introduction to Singing classes, above all, we will focus on learning to use the voice appropriately, both the singing and the spoken voice, we will give a lot of importance to body posture and breathing. We will tackle different songs together, in a dynamic way and applying the technique that we are learning.

In this course you will learn to understand your body through music. To play piano we need more than our fingers, you will learn to feel your body, the relaxation that passes through it and the necessary movements you must make to be able to properly play the piano.
You will also learn a lot about each era, starting from the Baroque to today. You will be able to see how each era is unique and the way of seeing and feeling music in each of them.
You will learn many ways to study, so that you can continue at home alone with the certainty of doing well.
We will learn together, because I am convinced that teaching is a way of learning too.

It is never too late to enjoy music. There are thousands of ways in which a person can enter this wonderful world, either through a more practical approach, playing a musical instrument; or with a more theoretical approach, learning harmony, analysis and composition.

With my training in classical technique, modern music theory and music history, I can offer a wide range of possibilities to students who want to begin their musical career or deepen their career.
As a composer and improviser, I will give you tools so that your knowledge is not merely theoretical, but eminently creative.
