Did you always want to learn cello from zero and never had the opportunity to start, or do you want to improve your already learned skills? Then I can definitely help you! I am a Spanish cellist based in Amsterdam since 2008 with more than 10 years experience of teaching. I offer lessons for all ages and levels, in English, Dutch and Spanish. Here is a small resume of the lessons I offer: 1. Cello and/or baroque cello lessons: All levels. The lessons will be focused on two basic elements: Technic of the instrument and developing musical skills. 2. Music theory: Beginners. Basics of music, such as reading notes, rules and analysis. This field is as important as learning the instrument for it complements the process in music performance. 3. Music History: All levels The lessons will give a full understanding of the historical development of music, with a complete historical context of the arts, politics and society. These lessons are a key point to students of conservatories and musicians to complement their music knowledge.

Parts of the Guitar • Body: The main part, which amplifies sound in acoustic guitars or houses electronics in electric ones. • Neck: The long, thin section where the fretboard is located, used for pressing strings to form notes. • Fretboard: A flat surface with metal frets, dividing the neck into segments for different pitches. • Headstock: At the end of the neck, it holds the tuning pegs to adjust string tension. • Strings: Typically six, labeled (from thickest to thinnest) E (low), A, D, G, B, and E (high). • Bridge: Anchors the strings to the body, transferring vibrations to produce sound. 2. Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. Hi, I'm Laura, I'm a cellist and I love to share my musical knowledge with other people. I have experience with students of all ages and I believe that there is no right age to start learning to play an instrument. I adapt my lessons to the objectives and tastes of each student. We can learn classical music, but also other styles such as pop. I also offer lessons focused on music theory if that is what you are looking for! I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instil a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'.
