There is nothing more beautiful than passing on your passion and your knowledge to future generations. I have always wanted to be able to give my students everything that I also received as a student. The most important thing for me is to see that my students go home happy and with answers.

Together we can improve your flute sound, fulfill your repertoire wishes, simply learn the instrument and most importantly - have fun with music! Everyone is welcome - beginners and advanced learners, we will find the right form of teaching. We will make music together, read music and discuss the basics of music theory. I'm Kate, I come from Latvia, I've been playing the flute for 13 years and I'm currently studying with the principal flutist of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Clarinet is a wonderful wind instrument that has a clear and warm sound and can play music of various genres. It sounds great in classical music, jazz, pop, folk music and many many others. Hi there! With more than 15 years of experience in the art world, I am a jazz musician, composer and active clarinetist. I have knowledge of photography and graphic design, and I believe in the importance of creating and training as a multidisciplinary artist prepared to make a living. their art, so I integrate all this knowledge in my classes, adapting them to the level and needs of the student in an empathetic and joyful way.

I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

Music is the universal language, explains what we hear and is the key to express yourself.
