I am a native English speaker from Ireland.
I am Montessori trained and TEFL trained.
I have been teaching English to young students in France for many years and I have a great deal of experience.
I specialise in preparing students for English written and oral exams but I also help children with homework and general spoken english.
I generally teach from my home in Cannes but I am available to travel short distances. I can discuss times and location at a later date.

Use an excellent teaching method based on all communication. Memory is constantly stimulated thanks to images, associations of ideas, the use of exciting contexts... This method works very well for all ages and all levels.

I have 7 years of teaching experience at all levels, academic support, refresher training, oral coaching, travel preparation.

I also hold the BAFA (Brevet d'Aptitude aux Functions d'Animateur) and teach children in a fun and adapted way, using games, songs, plastic activities, so that they quickly become comfortable, and happy to speak English!

3 good tips to learn a language

1) Listen a lot

This is essential. And easy, for English. You can watch movies or series, subtitles in French at first then in English when you are more comfortable. You can listen to the songs in the lyrics ("lyrics" in English).

2) Many speakers

Also essential, find a teacher who has a good conversation, or a friend, college... Speak even if you lack vocabulary. Mime the missing words, draw, make yourself understood at your level.

3) Read simple things

Books for children can be a wonderful tool of progress. Roald Dahl's books for example (Fantastic Mr Fox, Charly and the Chocolate Factory...) the series "the worst witch" by Jill Murphy. Comics too.
