I have more than 20 years of experience as a French language trainer and have provided language training to more than 20 nationalities. Before I started my own company in 2005, I was an independent teacher of French Language and Culture and provided language and culture training for most of the knowledge of language institutes in the Netherlands. I have held various positions in international organizations, which gives me a good understanding of business.

Bonjour, I'm of mixed French and Polish origins and I've been living in Paris for many years. I hold a PhD degree in French Literature from Sorbonne University and I've been teaching French and English since 2013. During my class, you will learn how to communicate effectively - and in order to speak, you'll need to practice! I have a passion for French culture, literature, music, film and theatre, and I believe that it's through culture and experiencing the language directly in everyday life that you really immerse yourself in a language. I train also for exams and DELF/DALF. Apart from this, I work as a tour guide specialised in French medieval architecture and a week-end trip to Paris (sightseeing included!) can be planned during the course to immerse in French language, cinema, food and beautiful Parisian museums. Practicing French in French boulangeries, restaurants and bookshops in Amsterdam can be planned as well. If you're interested in more than practicing speaking and pronunciation skills, we can alternate the grammar/writing classes (held at home) and conversation classes (held anywhere!). Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice.
