These music theory lessons are guided by a Chilean jazz composer with extensive experience in jazz and popular music. The focus of the classes is to provide a solid and structured understanding of the fundamental tools needed to read, analyze, and understand music in a clear and practical way.

The lessons cover core areas such as music notation and sight-reading, harmony, rhythmic concepts, formal analysis, and harmonic and melodic analysis applied to jazz and popular music. Chilean saxophonist and composer César studied under renowned musicians Ben van Gelder and Simon Rigter in the Netherlands, as well as Esteban Núñez and Franz Mesko in Chile. After graduating with a degree in Composition in 2021 in Chile, César pursued a Master's in Jazz Saxophone at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Throughout his career, César has participated as a sideman in numerous festivals and album recordings. As a leader and co-leader, César has released three albums: Flor de Loto (featuring Joaquín Fuentes, 2022), NUBES (featuring Nicolás Vera, 2025) and Des Visages (featuring Jorge Care, 2025). In 2025 his band "César Vidal & Artikulation Band" won 2nd prize at Getxo Jazz band competition, opening for Cécile McLorin Salvant. In addition to his academic and professional accomplishments, César has cultivated strong teaching skills over eight years of experience, working as a private instructor and teaching in smaller institutions.

Dear violin lovers! I'm a violin teacher for 10 years now, I have been teaching in Portugal and the Netherlands. My lessons can be given in English, Portuguese, French or Spanish.

Playing the violin is my passion, especially when I can pass on my knowledge and love for music to my students of all ages and levels.

I work as a team with you, finding the right method that fit your needs. What is important for me is to work on a good connection with the instrument and find the right basis for the start of your violin playing.
In my violin lessons, I would like also to share with you my musical knowledge, show you recordings of great violin players, prepare with you pieces that you always wanted to play and give you the tools so you can achieve your goals in music. I am teaching composition, piano, theory/harmony, & ear-training. I graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam as a contemporary composer.

I am very open to the stylistic choices of the students and adapt the lesson to fit their particular needs or interests.
When it comes to composition, I'm coaching anyone who needs advice as to how to write their own music, how to develop their compositional tools, song-writing skills, how to translate conceptual ideas into practical material. This also applies to children, who might want to get the basics of making their own song, either on an instrument or on the computer.
My approach to teaching piano is highly influenced by my composition studies, both in stylistic diversity and in pedagogical methods. I find it important to teach piano in an overall way, one that incorporates ear-training but also theory together with playing. This way i find that the lesson becomes much more stimulating, and it also becomes much more easy to learn.

I have experience teaching adults but also young kids between 4-15 years old. I believe it is never late to start learning music and that learning to make music is firstly a fun and then a challenging adventure.

I am 21 years old and I am currently a flute student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I finished my studies in conservatories in France and obtained a license in music and musicology at the Sorbonne (Paris IV).
I offer personalized lessons meeting the desires and ambitions of everyone, from the simple beginner to the confirmed musician.
For the flute lessons, I offer exercises for sound, technique, adapted pieces. During music theory lessons, I can give tips for learning to read keys, rhythms, and offer dictations. Studying the theory allows you to learn to recognize chords, to calculate a score, to analyze the structure of a piece, to recognize the style from musical elements.
It is possible to combine several lessons, for example half an hour of flute then a quarter of an hour of music theory.

Private lessons for beginners to advanced level of violin playing. All ages are welcome. I am a professionally trained teacher and violinist for almost two decades. My lessons are given in English, Spanish and (basic) Dutch.

My teaching method is variable depending on the students' needs, but the goal is shared: to make a great musician and qualified violinist out of the pupil. I work on both technical and musical aspects from a (very) consciously prepared healthy and enjoyable perspective. Particular emphasis on having fun with the little ones!

I pay special attention to creating a personalized education and experience for every one of my students. I also give some additional tools applicable to the violin playing which includes: Introduction to Yoga, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique and Body & Mind. All the basic theory is taught too.

Occasionally, there are student concerts and collaborations with other teachers. (These may include some teachers from the Sweelinck Academy or the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and more).

From among the required tools for my lessons are: a violin and a bow, score and books purchases when necessary, and, from time to time, meetings with the parents. On occasion, I use digital tools like phone/tablet apps.

I can teach in various places near or in the center of Amsterdam, or, depending on the need, I can move to pretty much wherever in The Netherlands.

About the homework, I send it to the students on a weekly basis and encourage them to participate on competitions and summer music courses. As always, this is conditional on the pupil's stage.

In other words: what YOU like! I sincerely believe that the most effective way to learn music is to delve into what you love and explore it with passion and dedication. We will always start from the songs you like, step by step, following your workflow. My goal is simply to give you the best tips and tricks so that you can enjoy playing the songs you love or, if you wish, organize your guitar practice in the most efficient way.

I specialize in orchestral and chamber music. I'm also teaching since 5 years and I enjoy sharing my passion for music, whether it's on stage or in a more intimate setting during a private lesson.

About the lessons

Have you always dreamed of developing your musical talents? Are you an amateur singer or a beginner who would like to learn a few basics to better understand and control your voice? Then you've come to the right place! :)
As an option, I can also give introductory music theory lessons, to help you get to grips with the difficulties of musical language.
This course is aimed at all those who are just starting out or who want to perfect their singing skills, children or adults of all ages and backgrounds. /!\ Lessons will be given in English or French only, at my home in Amsterdam (Osdorp).

Course content

• Breathing exercises (to learn how to manage your breath and master good vocal support)
• Ear exercises (to develop in pitch accuracy and intonation)
• Vocalizing and voice exercises (adapted to the student's level) to warm up and develop a better voice technique
• Repertoire work on arias, songs or other musical pieces (classical or pop music, depending on the student's wishes) on which the student would like to progress
• (as a bonus, if needed) support or introduction to music theory

The musical goal and target level will be decided (under my guidance) on an individual basis in the beginning of our lessons, according to each student's wishes. My name is Marine, I'm 28 years old and I've been playing the piano since I was 12. A graduate of the Chantilly Departmental Conservatory in France (training obtained alongside my baccalaureate), I also studied jazz for two years in a specialized school, then in jazz piano classes at the conservatory.
