MA student with too much information in his head who loves breaking it down into digestible chunks. My class is for the people who 'don't get it' and want it explained simply and accessibly. My classes give students their own understanding of the content with which to confidently approach their exams.

I received a 1st in Philosophy and Theology at bachelors level from the University of Nottingham. I am currently studying philosophy at King's College London.

Able to run classes on these topics in each field:

Philosophy: Philosophy of Religion, Ethics, Political Philosophy, Metaphysics, Philosophy of Mind.

History: Tudor England, Elizabethan England, Reformation Europe.

Theology/Religious studies: Islam, Christianity, Buddhism.

Literature: WW1 literature, Existentialist Literature, Othello. Great Gatsby, A View from the Bridge, Pride and Prejudice.

Have been playing the Ukulele for 8 years and so can help students gain competency in the instrument - have access to a lot of material.

Also have been learning Arabic for 4 years and can help beginners get set up.

Bonjour,

Etudiant à HEC Paris, je suis actuellement à Londres en double diplôme avec UCL où je vais étudier durant un semestre. Je propose des cours particuliers de français, philosophie et mathématiques aux collégiens, lycéens, étudiants et adultes souhaitant combler certaines lacunes.

Après avoir obtenu mon baccalauréat Scientifique mention Très Bien (spécialité mathématiques), j’ai effectué ma classe préparatoire ECS dans un grand lycée parisien, où j’ai étudié les mathématiques, le français, la philosophie et l'histoire à un niveau soutenu durant deux années.

J’ai par ailleurs aidé plusieurs élèves de différents niveaux (lycée, classes prépa, université, adultes) dans les matières mentionnées plus haut.

Je peux me déplacer dans tout Londres afin de dispenser mes cours.

I am a Teaching Associate and Writing Tutor at a London University. I have been teaching History and Essay Writing to undergraduate students for the past three years. I also have experience tutoring children and teenagers to help them prepare for their exams (GCSE, A-Level, Brevet, Baccalauréat).

I strongly believe the student should be at the centre of the tutor’s attention and planning every step of the way. Every tutee is different, and I will always spend the first hour discussing what their expectations are, what has worked best for them until then, and what they are struggling with. If their attention span is short, I will make sure to both work with it by adapting my lessons and work to improve it over time. If exam anxiety prevents them from achieving the results they could, I will include regular mock exams.
I want my tutees to feel at ease and stress-free during our lessons, and making our time together safe and comfortable is crucial to me.

From initiation to French to homework help until the final year (in French, English literature, history and political science), I am very flexible on the formats of the courses. I am a highly passionate and committed history student at UCL fuelled with a desire to share my educational expertise with GCSE and A-Level History and/or French students. As a previous high-achieving and enthusiastic GCSE and A-Level student that achieved nine 9’s at GCSE and two A* and one A at A-Level, I believe that the knowledge and advice I have acquired would be extremely beneficial and I am thus eager to support students in fulfilling their academic aspirations.

My tutoring sessions will be highly flexible in terms of hours and location, and specifically tailored to suit the needs of the individual student. Whether this may be covering specific content that the student may feel less confident with, or regular exam practice through attempting exam-style questions and past papers both individually and collaboratively. It is true that the philosopher is the friend of wisdom, but above all, he is someone who does not want to make mistakes in reasoning. Philosophizing is a way of reasoning and a way of solving problems that will never have a perfect and definitive solution. Knowing the distance between the Earth and the Moon is not a problem of philosophy, because it is enough to measure to solve it. On the other hand, knowing, for example, what justice is, is a problem of philosophy. A meter will not be able to help us know the answer. We must go about it differently, and in the courses I offer, I will teach you how.

I will adapt to your individual needs. Each course is tailor-made. We will analyze where your difficulties lie and together develop a course program that will make you perform as quickly as possible. The basic principle of the courses I offer is dialectics, like Plato's dialogues: reflecting together, making theoretical contributions, asking questions and seeking answers, and testing the validity of reasoning.

For the past 10 years, I have been teaching German using the philosophy methodology, having studied philosophy at the Master's level at Aix-Marseille University. It turns out that the analytical mind is very useful even outside the confines of philosophy. Today, there are even fields of activity such as management with philosophy or philotherapy. In recent years, some German students have asked me to also teach them philosophy courses, and that is why I decided to offer philosophy courses directly.
