This class is best for students who wish to study art or do creative work in an English speaking environment. We will analyse art by others and art you in an all-English art critique. I speak French and some German, so you won't get lost but mostly the course will be in English. We will also learn to write about art academically.

I am a teaching artist who also works with technology. I have taught art, art history, making and engineering, 3D printing, English, and also creative writing. I love creative work. I love art and I love the sciences. More than anything else, I love finding connections between different disciplines, people, and ideas. AP and IB portfolios are my specialty.

I have worked in some of the toughest schools and some of the most privileged schools. Crossing these boundaries in the US and Asia, I find people need the same everywhere, a partner and coach to explore ideas and to build a plan and portfolio for moving forwards. Let's face it, everything is more fun with enthusiasm, focus, and some laughter to make the difficult work more fun.

I began teaching Art in 1999, grades 5-8 in Philadelphia. I taught in Chicago from 2002-2012 mostly teaching art and art history to grades 6-12. I then took my technology degree and ran maker spaces in schools teaching 3D printing, design, digital fabrication, and innovation.

Since moving to Hong Kong in 2019, I have been teaching a little of everything, mostly as a tutor. My specialty is making learning fun and building portfolios and creative projects using multiple disciplines. Whether you want to build an art portfolio to get into a US or UK art school, build an inventor's portfolio for boarding school, or start your own company before you leave high school or gymnasium, I have the experience and energy to help you create your own success! We go to exhibitions where I teach you to look and analyze how the artist made his work and what he was doing and, if applicable, what he wanted to convey with his work.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns.

I believe that everyone can draw. All it takes is to sit down, start, and keep practicing. I have taught myself to draw faces/portraits and that is why I am very enthusiastic about conveying my creative process to others, so that they can also get started with what they want to create.

I have developed my art and creative process throughout my life. After training at three different art academies, including Willem de Kooning in Rotterdam, I have now been working full-time as an artist for 8 years. I make my works with acrylic paint, but I still draw and sketch a lot on paper. My art style is a mix of spontaneous realism and abstract use of color, pop art and comic style.

I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London.

Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you!

Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs.

The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language.

(Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.)

I teach art history to anyone who wants to, regardless of age or level, online or at my home in Velp. With a background melting classical and contemporary clarinet performance, to theatrical movement, masks, and storytelling, I bring a fresh approach to music education. My experience includes leading creative workshops for children through the Philharmonie de Paris and developing artistic projects for young audiences.

In my classes, we explore sound as character, rhythm as movement, and performance as story.
For me, the body is the key to learning : I guide students to develop their body awareness as part of learning, an approach often missing from traditional lessons.
