Hey,
I am Chia Chen from Taiwan.
From this lesson, you will study the Chinese alphabet (Hanyu Pinyin and Zhuyin), characters(Hanzi), vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, and common words and phrases.
No matter if you're simply into Chinese culture and would like to get a deeper understanding through learning Chinese or you’re aiming at a Language test, I am here to offer help!
Course materials can be:
-Experiencing Chinese (for traveling or daily conversation)
-Learn Chinese with me (for schoolchildren and teenagers)
-any tailor-made materials that interest you
Qualification:
Test experience:
Full score on Chinese subject in GSAT( Taiwanese college entrance exam)
Top 2% of the school on Chinese subject in high school
Accepted by National Taiwan University and currently study in PPLE(Psychology Politics Law and Economics) in UVA
Writing:
Selected as the best Chinese essay in high school
Speaking:
Participated in several Chinese speech and reading competitions
Native speaker
Self intro:
I have tutored several students back in Taiwan and helped their scores improve a lot. Aside from the grades, I also made the classes interactive and interesting. They were better at expressing their thoughts and more willing to speak in a different language after the classes(at that time, it was English) . I am quite passionate about learning and teaching languages and have patience when teaching! In addition, I am good at making the lesson atmosphere relaxing and interesting while remaining fruitful. I can get along with different ages of students quite well :)
This course is designed in three versions for different kinds of participants:
1) Beginner
- Have little or no prior knowledge of the Chinese language;
- Daily conversations or useful phrases during trips
- Numbers, colors, basic nouns and verbs
-Form a basic sentence
-Basic Chinese characters
2) Intermediate Learner
- Have upper-intermediate knowledge of Chinese
- Expand vocabulary
-Chinese idioms and their background stories
-Simple grammar
- Form longer and more complex sentences verbally and in writing
3) Advanced Learner
- Can speak and understand Chinese well
- Writing Chinese essays
-Giving presentations in Chinese
- Reading and understanding Chinese news
-Understanding Chinese lyrics
-Interested in ancient Chinese poems or contemporary Chinese literature
