Winner of the Peabody Conservatory (Marina Piccinini studio) and Johns Hopkins University, I followed a career as a concert performer in the United States before coming to Paris to take part in competitions and join a European orchestra. My education is now fulfilled by an intensive study of several years in the studio of Vincent Lucas, 1st solo flute of the Orchester de Paris, and several training courses in France and the United States on the management of stage fright. Currently in residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts, I work on a YouTube channel, teaching the transverse flute and the profession of musician. My teaching experience includes masterclasses and presentations at Peabody Conservatory, Johns Hopkins University, University of El Paso-Texas, and dozens of teaching performances in high schools, colleges and EPHAD in the United States. Alongside my musical career I have also worked as a conference interpreter for the United Nations, UNICEF, the Commission for the Status of Women, and the NGO PCI MediaImpact.
Upon graduating with honors from Peabody Conservatory (Marina Piccinini studio) and Johns Hopkins University, I toured the United States as a concert artist before coming to Paris to audition for European orchestras. A course specially designed for French-speaking musicians looking to travel, tour or collaborate with English-speaking musicians. Vocabulary, professional jargon, email correspondence etiquette, etc. We are also working on pronunciation. Scenarios, break-ins, recordings, glossaries and other materials will be provided to the student.
An ear training intensive course that gives students regular ear training and theory exercises to take home and practice. We use the studio piano, singing and can use either fixed Do system or an ear training system without the solfège names-- using vowels instead. The goal is to develop strong inner ears to be able to sing, play instruments and hear music more precisely. By the end of this course you will have discovered your voice, developed your inner ear and improved intonation on your instrument and had a lot of fun! Open to all ages.
