I studied Jazz at the Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatory and graduated from the American School Of Modern Music. I seek with my lessons to develop your desire to make music and your creativity. My courses and content will allow you to immerse yourself in an exciting practice. Pleasure and requirement are the keywords of my learning method. You will quickly be able to play a current, rich and varied repertoire. In addition to private lessons, I provide you with free videos, scores & tablatures. Who are the classes for? Children: From 7 years old, learning notes in a playful and progressive way. We explore music theory, tablatures, rhythm and melody thanks to card games specially developed for the youngest: recognition, 7 families, pair games, Memory, etc. Your child discovers the instrument and the technique while being able to quickly play familiar tunes! Classes usually last 30 minutes. Teen: The goal is not to spend too much time on the theoretical aspect of music theory (reading notes etc.) but to see the basic techniques of the instrument in order to be able to play and have fun quickly. From the first lessons you will play the pieces of your choice, I will guide you and accompany you. Pleasure and satisfaction guaranteed! Advanced: You improve your technique thanks to the study of statements of reference guitarists and different Jazz / Rock / Blues / Gypsy styles such as: John Scofield, Wes Montgomery, Peter Bernstein, George Benson, Django Reinhardt etc... Together we work on the writing and the balance of musical phrases, chord sequences, notions of tension and resolution, which will allow you to create your own music and refine your style. I advise you on the right software and musical software (writing/Sibelius, tabalture/Guitarpro, Recording/Ableton, creation/Reason etc...) How are the lessons going? If you are reading this, then maybe you feel the same way towards the piano as I do! I can offer myself to explore with you, with my experiences coming from jazz piano playing, how it works on the piano: basic playing skills, chords and how to voice them, playing solo lines, harmonic knowledge to write your own song, learning to read a lead sheet with only melody and chords, and so many more. Here are some of the goals that you and I can work together to make it happen: 1) Learn to play your favorite tunes on piano or electric piano 2) Learn to accompany yourself while you are singing 3) Learn to play in a band setting 4) Learn to write and play your own songs 5) Learn the keyboard skills for your home production gears (i.e. MIDI keyboard controllers) 6) Learn to improvise on the piano Now, a little bit about myself; the moment I decided that I should try for music came much later compared to my colleagues. I started very late, and thus had to come up with methods of teaching myself fast and efficiently. And I believe that my own experiences coming from the struggles I've had could be of help to you, to understand the task at the hand better and to come up with plans on how to handle them. I highly recommend Sarah-Anne as a piano instructor. She is incredibly warm and friendly, creating a comfortable and encouraging learning environment. Her teaching style is perfectly paced—she really understands the needs and abilities of the student, tailoring lessons to suit them. She's always available to offer extra guidance, and her explanations are clear and helpful. I already had a few lessons with Sanghee and I can definitely recommend her! Her patient and interactive teaching style work very well together with her well planned, organized lessons and her nice personality. Her classes are completely in Korean so that in itself teaches you a lot and will improve your speaking abilities immediately, especially if speaking in Korean is still difficult for you. If you don't understand something she of course will switch to English. The homework also keeps my study drive going and I already have the feeling that I can express myself better in Korean. :)
