I was also passed (admitted to the competition but the quota places granted limited my entry into medical school) after having completed a national competition which was both selective and elitist to enter a medical school: the first common year to health studies. Very difficult in maths, physics, organic chemistry and biology. I was subsequently very involved in collaborative and associative projects to train students for the medical competition, in the first year.
