Hello! I am Hugo, a native English-speaking mathematics teacher from the Netherlands. I completed the entire IB track myself and understand the challenges students may face when mathematics feels difficult or overwhelming. Additionally, I have taken programs in finance and AI algorithms, which has further strengthened my analytical thinking skills. I was once a student myself who hated math, until I found the right support. That is why I know how important patient and encouraging teaching can be. I teach in a calm, supportive, and practical way. My goal is not only to help students with their homework, but also to help them understand what they are doing, build their self-confidence, and prevent math from becoming something they hate. In a typical lesson, I first identify where a student is getting stuck. Then, we work through the topic step by step with clear explanations and guided exercises. I also help students recognize common mistakes, improve their accuracy, and gain more confidence with the questions they find most difficult. I really enjoy helping young people understand difficult subjects and be more positive about their progress. My lessons are particularly suitable for younger students, especially those in English-speaking or international educational institutions, who need support with understanding, building self-confidence, and making steady progress in mathematics.
