In Oud, we will focus on: Musical Maqams: Deepen your understanding of Arabic Maqams and how to apply them to playing. Musical Notes: Learn to read and perform notes on the oud with skill. Pick Exercises: Improve playing techniques using a pick to develop movement between the strings. Technique Exercises: Build playing skills through various exercises to improve speed and accuracy. Oriental Songs: Learn to play the most famous oriental tunes and songs to be able to give a distinctive performance. Musical Pieces: Study traditional and contemporary oriental pieces while developing individual performance skills. As for the piano, we will focus on: Musical Notes: Learn to read and write notes easily while improving your musical skills. Musical Scales: Study major and minor scales and their effect on playing pieces. Chords: Learn to build different chords and how to use them in playing. With over 8 years of experience as a Solfege, Oriental Solfege, Oud, and Oriental singing teacher, I am a Lebanese musician currently residing in Mönchengladbach, Germany. I honed my skills for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. Prior to my relocation, I taught at Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and also held private music lessons. As a concertmaster, I performed with the oriental orchestra "Loubnan Assalam" for over 5 years. My move to Germany was motivated by my pursuit of graduate studies at the University of Kamp-Lintfort. The guitar is undoubtedly one of the most popular instruments of the modern age. It is so versatile and used in many genres ranging from classical music to Death Metal and even Electronic Music. I will teach you the basics of playing the guitar, and I'll spice it up later with my experience in composition and songwriting. We will learn by example through the famous songs that shaped our understanding of the guitar. Whether you prefer singer-songwriter-style songs, or thrash metal we'll get there together. I will teach mainly using the guitar tablature format, we can do sheet music which is generally unneeded for anything besides classical, but I will need to refresh my music sheet reading skills as I haven't had to read any in the last 10 years.
