Problem solving is a key transferable life skill applicable to all fields, especially Mathematics. It is important students master these foundations which act as building blocks supporting further progression in learning. I aim to help students build vital confidence enabling them to tackle any unseen problem thrown at them. This is particularly important when it comes to high-pressure and time-constraint examinations.

In this class, I will go through topics students struggle with, providing alternative approaches I have personally learned over the years. I will also teach useful exam techniques so that students can enter examinations confident and well-prepared. Once a concept has been covered, we will go through additional questions to reinforce understanding of the topic.

I am friendly and approachable former student who has picked up several tips and tricks over the years, excited to these with younger students. Having worked with kids before, I am confident in my ability to relate to the frustrations of tackling hard new concepts, and break things down in legible ways. Ultimately, I am motivated to inspire an excitement for problem-solving, like my own, and foster kids’ enthusiasm in maths.
