I love languages, and I'm keen to share that love with others of all ages. Teaching somebody a second language is providing them with the tools required to communicate with a whole cohort of people they otherwise may not have been able to meet, alongside nurturing their ability to express themselves creatively and enhancing their pleasure of reading.
My lessons tend to be quite hands-on - we look at tackling language activities together such as reading and analyzing passages from texts for meaning and content, writing diary entries and letters, and other such tasks. This doesn't mean that I'm afraid of getting my teeth into explaining and discussing tough language and linguistic concepts also, such as tough grammar rules and linguistic devices!
