I'm a native Turkish speaker, graduated from the most prestigious German highschool (Istanbul High School/ Istanbul Erkek Lisesi/ İEL) in Istanbul, Turkey. After that, I completed my bachelor degree in Germanic Philology at İstanbul University. During my professional career in the tourism industry, I frequently used and practice both languages for the last 45 years of my career.

As a native German speaker I can provide my students with the right knowledge about the language and how to learn it as simple as possible. At the beginning, the student shall present his/her previous test and results to identify his/her Weaknesses and strenghts. The second step is to follow the school books and curriculum (unless the parents wish otherwise)

As for adults I can teach general German and prepare tests in the fields of interests. This lesson will start by evaluating theirabilities in the four main skills (Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading). Then we can work together to plan the weekly lessons accordingly.

I can offer the student classs in three different languages (German, English and Turkish) theories about Geert Hofstedes Cultural Dimensions, Trompenaars Model, Gesteland Dimensions edc..

The lessons are conversation-based and adapted to the student’s level and interests. We will practice everyday topics, improve pronunciation, and expand vocabulary. The focus is on speaking practice rather than intensive grammar instruction.
The location of the lessons can be discussed together.

About five years ago, I emigrated from Frankfurt to Istanbul and now live on the Bosphorus. As the child of academics—a German-French mother and a Turkish father—my schooling, upbringing, university studies, and generally my entire life up to the age of 27 were spent in Germany.

Skipped two grades, highly gifted, started several self-employed ventures at a young age and eventually sold them, also studied civil engineering on the side, never fully embraced the job, emigrated and now have a lot of free time which I want to fill with content and meaning.

Accordingly, it is easy to teach the German language, as well as the local discipline and attitude towards work and values, by setting the best possible example.
