I offer classes on Bacteriology, Mycology, Virology, Parasitology, Immunology, Molecular biology, Cell biology,
Food and dairy microbiology, Soil and agricultural microbiology, Environmental microbiology, Industrial microbiology.
In this class students can learn about morphology, pathogensis, virulence factors, clinical manifestation, laboratory diagonsis, culture characters, antimicrobial resistances, and genes responsible for resistant acitivty of various microorganism.

My approach to teaching is based on personalisation, ensuring that each student receives lessons tailored to their specific needs and learning style. To promote active participation and optimal learning outcomes, lessons are designed to be structured, interactive and engaging. This combination of face-to-face and participatory learning methods ensures that students fully understand and retain the material.

In addition to these active learning strategies, I also use visual aids and illustrations in my lessons. These visual aids serve to reinforce key concepts and deepen the student's understanding of the material, forming a deeper, more holistic understanding of the topic.

Once the theory has been covered, I focus not only on the exercises included in the course curriculum, but also on additional, optional exercises designed to provide students with a more complete understanding of the material. These additional exercises are optional, but highly recommended, as they provide students with a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the subject.

In conclusion, my approach to teaching is focused on providing students with a personalized and engaging learning experience that promotes active participation and deep understanding. This approach allows students to develop a thorough understanding of the subject and reach their full potential.

As a five-year-old child, I already knew that I wanted to become a 'Biologist'. I acquired knowledge of wild plants, shells, and fossils at a young age through my father, a primary school teacher.
After working for several years as a microbiology analyst in a hospital laboratory, I went on to study Biology in Leiden. After my studies, I worked as a scientific researcher for 10 years at various universities in England and America. I also worked as a researcher at the Natural History Museum in London.

I returned to the Netherlands at the end of 2017. Through my studies, my work as a scientific researcher, and as a medical analyst, I have developed broad subject-specific knowledge. I would like to use my knowledge and enthusiasm for Biology to help high school students and university students through tutoring, exam preparation, and thesis supervision.

Furthermore, I am a great nature lover; I lead nature excursions and am a public guide at the Natural History Museum in Rotterdam.

Giving tutoring lessons has helped me enormously to provide tailored guidance to pupils and students. I adapt to the wishes of the pupils or students and can illustrate theory with practical examples (daily life, nature, laboratory, research).

Possibilities:

- Biology tutoring (mostly online, sometimes on location) for VMBO, HAVO, VWO, MBO, and HBO; lower, upper, or exam year.
- Thesis supervision or help with internship report (microbiology, laboratory, biology), also in English
Long-term tutoring is possible, but also 1 or 2 lessons (as preparation for a test or exam, for example).
