Hallo daar! Altijd al dwarsfluit willen leren of heb je juist zin om dit prachtige instrument weer op te pakken na een pauze?

Als docent met meer dan 6 jaar ervaring bied ik privélessen aan voor alle leeftijden en alle niveaus.
Ik heb mijn lesvaardigheden geleerd van beroemde dwarsfluit-pedagogen van deze tijd. Ik heb ervaring met lesgeven aan zowel kinderen als volwassenen en ik vind het essentieel dat we allebei plezier hebben terwijl we zoiets geweldigs leren als muziek spelen! De lessen worden aangepast aan uw behoeften en we zullen samen uw muzikaliteit en technische vaardigheden ontwikkelen. Naast Klassieke muziek kunnen we als daar behoefte voor is ook werken aan andere muziekstijlen. Zo ben ik bekend met Braziliaanse volkmuziek, Barokmuziek, Moderne Muziek en Jazz.
Ook is het mogelijk om academische ondersteuning te vragen bij het instrument, muziektheorie of geschiedenis.

Lessen kunnen in het Engels en in het Nederlands. Als je zelf nog geen instrument hebt, kan ik wat suggesties geven over waar en hoe je er een kunt vinden/huren - aarzel niet om contact met me op te nemen als je interesse hebt.

Présentation

Iara (2000) obtained her Bachelor in Classical Flute under the guidance of Marieke Schneemann at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, with whom she also had been studying at the Young Talent Academy since 2015. During her musical path she has had the chance to learn from renowned teachers such as Kersten McCall, Vincent Cortvrint, Emily Beynon, Marten Root, Renate Greiss and Harrie Starreveld.
Currently Iara is studying her Master's Degree in Live Electronics at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Jos Zwaanenburg.

She has collaborated with many (project) orchestras and ensembles including the Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands, Jong Nederlands Blazers Ensemble West, Jonge Blazers Nederland, North Holland Youth Orchestra, Orchestre Partout and the Ricciotti Ensemble. She also performed solo with pianist Vital Stahievitch in the Recital Hall of the Concertgebouw and Busoni's Divertimento with the North Holland Youth Orchestra at the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ.

At the moment Iara is active as soloist and leader in various chamber music ensembles, including the Paleia trio (flute/violin/viola) and Duo Dufonte (flute/harp). With this last ensemble she won second prize in the Rosa Spier competition in the ensemble category in 2020 and released two pieces on a CD by publisher Donemus in 2024. Next to these classical ensembles she also plays in and is part of the JongNBE (Nederlands Blazers Ensemble), the crossover ensemble Nachtlichtt, The Collective Move and interdisciplinary ensemble ‘W O R D S’.

Expérience / Qualifications

2018-now: Teaching flute to several students of different ages and levels. Both privately and in music schools.
2022-now: Teaching as part of the organization 'Hallo Muziek' to classes at primary schools. The age of the children in the classes varies between 4 years till 12 years old. The 'Kodály method' is being used in the lessons.
