A communicative, Task-Based Learning (TBL) classroom for Italian L2 leverages songs and cinema to transform students into active language users. Rather than passive observation, these tools drive specific tasks where the goal is meaningful communication. ​Music enhances memory and rhythm through activities like lyric reconstruction or creative rewriting. Cinema provides visual context and pragmatic cues, enabling tasks like creative dubbing or role-playing based on iconic scenes. By focusing on real-world "doing"—such as negotiating a film review or solving situational conflicts—students acquire grammar naturally. This approach fosters cultural immersion and reduces anxiety, making the learning process both authentic and engaging.
