Even if you have impressive academic credentials, some people miss out on jobs/courses due to not not having a statements that stands out. Especially when applying for jobs, employees will often have time to skim-read only. This is why it is so important to make an eye-catching personal statement/resume, good enough to make the reader look further into your application.
